🧎🏽‍♂️God Counts Us Worthy of Our Calling, Fulfills Every Good Desire, The Work of Faith in Power, So Christ's Name is Glorified in Us & We in Him

Beloved of All
"To this end also we pray always, that our God will count us worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire for goodness and the work of faith with power, so that the Name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified in us, and we in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ," 2 Thes 1:11.

We rejoice in the truth of God’s Word as shared in 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12, which declares, "To this end we also pray always for you, that our God may count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire of goodness and work of faith with power, that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ." This passage reminds us that our calling is not of our own making but is rooted in the grace and power of God. It is through His strength that we are made worthy, and it is by His grace that our faith is brought to completion.

Yet, we must also examine our hearts to ensure that our desires and works align with His will. The Scripture warns us in James 4:3, "You ask, and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures." Are we seeking to glorify Christ in all things, or are we allowing selfish ambitions to creep into our prayers? Let us surrender every desire to the Lord, trusting that He will fulfill what is truly good and pleasing in His sight.

We also recognize that the work of faith requires power, His power, not ours. In Zechariah 4:6, the Lord declares, "Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit." If we are struggling in our faith, let us not rely on our own strength but turn to the Holy Spirit, who empowers us to walk in obedience and trust.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, acknowledging that it is only by Your grace that we are counted worthy of Your calling. We surrender our desires, our works, and our faith into Your hands, asking that You align them with Your perfect will. Lord, fill us with Your power so that the name of Jesus may be glorified in us and through us. Where we have sought our own glory or pursued selfish ambitions, forgive us and redirect our hearts toward You. Strengthen our faith, Father, and let it bear fruit in every area of our lives. May we walk in a manner worthy of the calling You have placed upon us, reflecting Your love, holiness, and truth to a world in need of You. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.

If there is a specific area in your life where you are struggling to see God’s power at work, we encourage you to bring it before Him in prayer. Whether it is a trial, a temptation, or a season of doubt, remember that God is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). Lean on Him, seek His Word, and trust that He will fulfill every good desire as you surrender to His leading. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ, we urge you to consider the salvation He offers. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. If you would like to know more about what it means to follow Christ, we invite you to seek Him with an open heart and ask Him to reveal Himself to you.

We appreciate you bringing this prayer for your community before the Lord. The longing you expressed, to be counted worthy of the calling He has given, to see Him bring good desires to completion and give power to the work of faith so Jesus is glorified among you, is a beautiful burden to carry for others.

We hear in that prayer both confidence and dependence. Confidence because our worthiness does not rest on trying harder but on what Christ has already done for us, and dependence because only He can turn a desire for goodness into lived reality. Faith in that sense is a quiet trust in His character more than in our feelings, a gift He gives and then strengthens as we keep listening to His Word and walking with Him day by day, even when that trust is tested.

One simple way we have found helpful is to keep a prayer like this close through the week. You might take one phrase each morning, desire for goodness, work of faith, that Christ would be seen in us, and turn it into a brief, honest ask for your community that day and watch how the Lord brings opportunities to live it.

Father, we thank You for this community and for the work You have already begun there. We ask that You would shape each heart to walk worthy of Your calling, fulfill the good You have planted in them, and strengthen their faith with Your power. May the name of Jesus be clearly seen and honored in their lives, according to Your grace. In Jesus' name, amen.

Father, humbly ask for Your healing power. Please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

How precious is this apostolic prayer which you have laid upon our hearts, and how rightly do you desire that the Name of our Lord Jesus should be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

We join you in this prayer always, that our God will count you worthy of His calling. Not by any worthiness in ourselves, for apart from Christ we are cast off, but by that exceeding greatness of His power to usward who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He wrought in Christ when He raised Him from the dead. God has glorified His Son in the matter of redemption. There is no redemption out of Christ, and there is none to help Christ in the matter of redemption. From the gates of hell up to the pearly gates of heaven it is Christ Jesus who is glorified, and in the church no one is glorified but Christ. He alone is worthy, and when we are found in Him we are counted worthy through His blood and righteousness.

We pray also that He will fulfill every desire for goodness and the work of faith with power. This is no small thing, for to bring the human mind to exercise simple faith in Jesus is a work of the most astounding power. Yet Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God, and His gospel is a thing of divine power. Wherever His name is preached it becomes like ointment poured forth, and He is glorified in the power which He possesses in the conversion of souls. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved, for we are saved by faith in Christ and not by works, and yet that faith which saves is never alone. We have never taught that a faith which is without works will save a man, for such a faith is dead. The natural and inevitable fruit of faith in Christ is holiness, a faith which works by love and purges from all that is petty, mean, selfish and impure.

Therefore make much of faith. It is as it were the key of blessedness. They who enter heaven have washed their robes in blood, and make much of the blood and much of the faith by which you have washed. If you have a desire to come to Christ, if you are forcing your way through the crowd to get to Him, it is because Christ is calling you. He speaks with power, and says, Come down, for today I must abide at your house. Trust His mercy, trust His intercession, for it is part of the glory of Christ that His intercession should be so powerful for His people this day, so that he who asks God in Christ's name asks as though Christ Himself asked.

So we pray that the Name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified in you, and you in Him. In proportion as God is glorified, we are blessed. When faith is strong, and love is ardent, and hope is bright, celestial fruits on earthly ground from faith and hope may grow. May the Lord clothe you with power from Christ, make your bed in all your sickness, keep you in perfect peace, and cause your whole life to publish the salvation of Jesus Christ, till He who now reigns in grace shall come again to reign in glory.

We commend you to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ, praying that He will perfect what concerns you, and keep you believing and abiding till you see Him face to face. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in this prayer from 2 Thessalonians 1:11, and we thank God for your desire to be found worthy of His calling.

We pray with you always to this end, that our God will count you worthy of your calling by His grace. This worthiness is not from ourselves, for even faith itself is a gift and we are saved by grace through faith according to His will. Yet He calls us to live in a way that shows that calling is real, holding fast in faith and in a good life.

We ask that He will fulfill every desire for goodness and every work of faith with power, so that the name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified in you and you in Him. The Scripture shows that faith itself glorifies God, for when we are fully persuaded that what He has promised He is able also to perform, we honor His majesty and His boundless power. And as your light shines before others through good works, the Father is glorified. This work requires power, and God has shown the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, quickening us who were dead and making us alive in Christ.

As you continue to trust Him, remember the example of those whose faith was counted worthy, who showed both great faith and lowliness of mind. God marvels at such faith and gives more than we ask, adding to us His kingdom and His strength for every good purpose.

So we pray that the Lord will strengthen you to abstain from what does not glorify Him and to walk in purity and steadiness, that in the day when those who have believed are revealed, you may be found faithful. May He grant you power to do every good work He puts on your heart, that Christ may be clearly seen in your life and you may rejoice in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
