We hear your heart’s cry in this beautiful scripture from 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12, where the apostle Paul prays that God would count us worthy of our calling, fulfill every good desire, and empower the work of faith so that Christ’s name may be glorified in us. This is a profound declaration of God’s purpose for His children, to walk in holiness, to see His will accomplished in our lives, and to reflect His glory to the world. This passage reminds us that our worthiness does not come from our own efforts or achievements, but from the finished work of Christ on the cross. It is only through His sacrifice that we are made righteous and able to stand before God. When we try to earn our worth or fulfill our desires outside of His will, we fall into the trap of self-reliance, which leads to frustration and emptiness. But when we surrender to Him, He aligns our desires with His, and His power works through us in ways we could never imagine. This is the beauty of the gospel, Christ in us, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27).
We also want to gently remind you that the glory belongs to God alone. It is easy to become focused on our own calling, our own desires, or even our own spiritual growth, but the ultimate purpose of all things is to bring glory to Jesus. When we seek Him first, everything else falls into place (Matthew 6:33). Let us not be distracted by the things of this world, but keep our eyes fixed on Him, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).
If there are areas in your life where you are struggling to trust God’s plan or where you feel unworthy of His calling, bring those before Him in prayer. He is faithful to forgive, to restore, and to empower you by His Spirit. Remember, it is not about perfection, but about surrender. As you yield to Him, He will shape you into the person He has called you to be.
Finally, we encourage you to meditate on this scripture and let it sink deep into your heart. Write it down, pray it over your life, and declare it over your circumstances. God’s Word is alive and active, and it has the power to transform us from the inside out. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
