God correct

Beloved of All
God help ### with all problems and struggles in her life and choice that she has made. God correct her path for the one she is following is not of God and keep her safe and protect from all evil and harm. God help me with arrogance side of me and anything that needs repairs.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister in Christ who is navigating a path that seems misaligned with God’s will. The plea for correction, protection, and guidance resonates deeply with us, for we know the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but our God is faithful to lead His children into truth and safety. First, we must address the foundation of all prayer, it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we may be saved (Acts 4:12). If this sister has not yet surrendered her life to Jesus, we pray she would confess with her mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in her heart that God raised Him from the dead, so that she may be saved (Romans 10:9). Salvation is the first and most critical step in aligning with God’s will.

Father God, we lift up this precious daughter to You, asking that You would intervene in her life with Your mighty hand. The path she is walking does not reflect Your ways, and we ask that You would correct her course with Your loving discipline. Your Word declares, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6). Lord, we pray that she would surrender her plans, her desires, and her will to You, trusting that Your ways are higher and Your plans for her are good (Jeremiah 29:11). Break any chains of deception or rebellion that may be blinding her to Your truth. Soften her heart to receive Your correction, and fill her with a hunger for Your Word and Your presence.

We also bring before You the struggle with arrogance and the need for personal repair. Pride is a snare that leads to destruction (Proverbs 16:18), and we humbly ask that You would reveal any areas of arrogance in our own hearts as well as in this sister’s life. Father, we pray that You would cultivate in her a spirit of humility, as Your Word says, "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6). Help her to see herself as You see her, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), yet in constant need of Your grace and mercy. Expose any sin in her life, Lord, and lead her to repentance. Create in her a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within her (Psalm 51:10). We ask that You would repair what is broken, restore what has been lost, and strengthen her in her inner being.

Lord, we also pray for her protection from all evil and harm. The enemy prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), but we declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Surround her with Your angels, Lord, and shield her from the schemes of the devil. Guard her mind from lies, her heart from deception, and her steps from stumbling. Fill her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let her rest in the assurance that You are her refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2).

We rebuke any influence in her life that does not align with Your Word. If there are relationships, habits, or choices that are leading her away from You, we ask that You would sever those ties and redirect her steps. Your Word warns us, "Do not be deceived: Bad company corrupts good morals" (1 Corinthians 15:33). If she is entangled in sin, whether it be sexual immorality, idolatry, or any other form of disobedience, we pray that You would convict her heart and lead her to repentance. For those who are in Christ, there is no condemnation (Romans 8:1), but there is also a call to walk in holiness and obedience.

Father, we also lift up the one who submitted this prayer. We ask that You would reveal any arrogance or pride in their heart as well. Help them to see the log in their own eye before they seek to remove the speck from their sister’s (Matthew 7:3-5). Teach them to love this sister with the love of Christ, extending grace while also speaking truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). Give them wisdom to know how to pray for her and how to encourage her in a way that draws her closer to You.

Lord, we trust that You are at work in this situation. We declare that Your plans for this sister are plans for peace and not for evil, to give her a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We pray that she would experience the fullness of Your love and the transformative power of Your Spirit. May she come to know You more deeply, love You more fervently, and follow You more closely. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We’re struck by how clearly you’ve named two things side by side: a heavy concern for someone you love, and honest awareness of your own inner struggle. That kind of double vision is often where real growth starts, and we don’t want to rush past it.

What we notice is that longing for God to “correct” a path we can’t control can quietly feed the arrogance we’re also asking God to repair in us, the part that thinks if we just see clearly enough, worry hard enough, or get the prayer exactly right, we can fix what’s broken. So maybe one grounded next step is simply to notice when that tight, managing energy rises, and practice handing the person back to God in real time, not as a one-time prayer, but as a daily, sometimes hourly, release. You’ve already done the brave part: you’ve named it. Now you get to practice letting the weight belong to God, not just saying it does.

That doesn’t mean you stop caring. It means you care with open hands instead of a clenched grip. And as you do that, the arrogance, that subtle assumption that you’re the one who has to hold things together, loses oxygen. We’re praying with you, not just for the person you love to be kept safe and guided, but for you to find real rest in a God who doesn’t need your management to be sovereign.

Jesus, we lift up this loved one, guard her from evil, frustrate the paths that aren’t from you, and gently draw her onto solid ground. And for the one praying, we ask for a quiet confidence that you are at work even when we can’t see it. Loosen the grip of self-reliance and replace it with a steady, humble trust. In your name we pray, amen.

The prayer you offer for another’s wanderings and for your own proud heart is a plea that climbs past the clouds, for the God who raiseth the lowly stoops to hear such cries. You speak of arrogance, and that is no small thing. The most verdant branch, if it be haughty, will dry up when the dew of heaven forsakes it, while the dry tree, by divine grace, shall flourish. Beware of a repentance that merely winces under conviction yet never yields the fruit of humility. True repentance is a gift, not a terror-born reflex; it is the work of the Spirit, giving God the glory, and it walks hand in hand with remission through the name of Jesus Christ.

As for her you name, whose path you fear is not of God, judgments alone will not produce a saving change. The terrors of the Lord can wring out a carnal repentance that spends itself in grief and hardens again, but only the kindness of God, shining in the face of Christ, leadeth to repentance unto life. The heart is broken not by the hammer of the law only, but by the love of the Crucified. Pray, then, not merely for her correction, but that she might see Him whom she has pierced, and weep that tear of godly sorrow which needs never to be repented of. Divine love can rake a dunghill and find a diamond; there is no path so tangled but Grace can straighten it.

And for yourself, remember that the humble man is ever conscious of his pride; that very sense of arrogance you lament is the whetstone upon which the Spirit sharpens the blade of lowliness. Labor to serve the Lord with all humility of mind, humility before the act, in the act, and when all is done. The feeblest saint, girded with Jehovah’s strength, shall win the day. Repair comes not by your own contriving but by keeping close to the cross, where repentance and remission flow side by side, living companions all our journey, until we drop that final tear at the gate of pearl and need repent no more.
