God correct

Beloved of All
God help ### with all problems and struggles in her life and choice that she has made. God correct her path for the one she is following is not of God and keep her safe and protect from all evil and harm. God help me with arrogance side of me and anything that needs repairs.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister in Christ who is navigating a path that seems misaligned with God’s will. The plea for correction, protection, and guidance resonates deeply with us, for we know the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but our God is faithful to lead His children into truth and safety. First, we must address the foundation of all prayer, it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we may be saved (Acts 4:12). If this sister has not yet surrendered her life to Jesus, we pray she would confess with her mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in her heart that God raised Him from the dead, so that she may be saved (Romans 10:9). Salvation is the first and most critical step in aligning with God’s will.

Father God, we lift up this precious daughter to You, asking that You would intervene in her life with Your mighty hand. The path she is walking does not reflect Your ways, and we ask that You would correct her course with Your loving discipline. Your Word declares, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6). Lord, we pray that she would surrender her plans, her desires, and her will to You, trusting that Your ways are higher and Your plans for her are good (Jeremiah 29:11). Break any chains of deception or rebellion that may be blinding her to Your truth. Soften her heart to receive Your correction, and fill her with a hunger for Your Word and Your presence.

We also bring before You the struggle with arrogance and the need for personal repair. Pride is a snare that leads to destruction (Proverbs 16:18), and we humbly ask that You would reveal any areas of arrogance in our own hearts as well as in this sister’s life. Father, we pray that You would cultivate in her a spirit of humility, as Your Word says, "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6). Help her to see herself as You see her, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), yet in constant need of Your grace and mercy. Expose any sin in her life, Lord, and lead her to repentance. Create in her a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within her (Psalm 51:10). We ask that You would repair what is broken, restore what has been lost, and strengthen her in her inner being.

Lord, we also pray for her protection from all evil and harm. The enemy prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), but we declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Surround her with Your angels, Lord, and shield her from the schemes of the devil. Guard her mind from lies, her heart from deception, and her steps from stumbling. Fill her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let her rest in the assurance that You are her refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2).

We rebuke any influence in her life that does not align with Your Word. If there are relationships, habits, or choices that are leading her away from You, we ask that You would sever those ties and redirect her steps. Your Word warns us, "Do not be deceived: Bad company corrupts good morals" (1 Corinthians 15:33). If she is entangled in sin, whether it be sexual immorality, idolatry, or any other form of disobedience, we pray that You would convict her heart and lead her to repentance. For those who are in Christ, there is no condemnation (Romans 8:1), but there is also a call to walk in holiness and obedience.

Father, we also lift up the one who submitted this prayer. We ask that You would reveal any arrogance or pride in their heart as well. Help them to see the log in their own eye before they seek to remove the speck from their sister’s (Matthew 7:3-5). Teach them to love this sister with the love of Christ, extending grace while also speaking truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). Give them wisdom to know how to pray for her and how to encourage her in a way that draws her closer to You.

Lord, we trust that You are at work in this situation. We declare that Your plans for this sister are plans for peace and not for evil, to give her a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We pray that she would experience the fullness of Your love and the transformative power of Your Spirit. May she come to know You more deeply, love You more fervently, and follow You more closely. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We’re struck by how clearly you’ve named two things side by side: a heavy concern for someone you love, and honest awareness of your own inner struggle. That kind of double vision is often where real growth starts, and we don’t want to rush past it.

What we notice is that longing for God to “correct” a path we can’t control can quietly feed the arrogance we’re also asking God to repair in us, the part that thinks if we just see clearly enough, worry hard enough, or get the prayer exactly right, we can fix what’s broken. So maybe one grounded next step is simply to notice when that tight, managing energy rises, and practice handing the person back to God in real time, not as a one-time prayer, but as a daily, sometimes hourly, release. You’ve already done the brave part: you’ve named it. Now you get to practice letting the weight belong to God, not just saying it does.

That doesn’t mean you stop caring. It means you care with open hands instead of a clenched grip. And as you do that, the arrogance, that subtle assumption that you’re the one who has to hold things together, loses oxygen. We’re praying with you, not just for the person you love to be kept safe and guided, but for you to find real rest in a God who doesn’t need your management to be sovereign.

Jesus, we lift up this loved one, guard her from evil, frustrate the paths that aren’t from you, and gently draw her onto solid ground. And for the one praying, we ask for a quiet confidence that you are at work even when we can’t see it. Loosen the grip of self-reliance and replace it with a steady, humble trust. In your name we pray, amen.

The prayer you offer for another’s wanderings and for your own proud heart is a plea that climbs past the clouds, for the God who raiseth the lowly stoops to hear such cries. You speak of arrogance, and that is no small thing. The most verdant branch, if it be haughty, will dry up when the dew of heaven forsakes it, while the dry tree, by divine grace, shall flourish. Beware of a repentance that merely winces under conviction yet never yields the fruit of humility. True repentance is a gift, not a terror-born reflex; it is the work of the Spirit, giving God the glory, and it walks hand in hand with remission through the name of Jesus Christ.

As for her you name, whose path you fear is not of God, judgments alone will not produce a saving change. The terrors of the Lord can wring out a carnal repentance that spends itself in grief and hardens again, but only the kindness of God, shining in the face of Christ, leadeth to repentance unto life. The heart is broken not by the hammer of the law only, but by the love of the Crucified. Pray, then, not merely for her correction, but that she might see Him whom she has pierced, and weep that tear of godly sorrow which needs never to be repented of. Divine love can rake a dunghill and find a diamond; there is no path so tangled but Grace can straighten it.

And for yourself, remember that the humble man is ever conscious of his pride; that very sense of arrogance you lament is the whetstone upon which the Spirit sharpens the blade of lowliness. Labor to serve the Lord with all humility of mind, humility before the act, in the act, and when all is done. The feeblest saint, girded with Jehovah’s strength, shall win the day. Repair comes not by your own contriving but by keeping close to the cross, where repentance and remission flow side by side, living companions all our journey, until we drop that final tear at the gate of pearl and need repent no more.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have rightly asked for correction for another and for yourself. In this you acknowledge that both paths and dispositions need divine healing. But be careful when you judge the path of another. It is not arrogance to discern that a way is not of God, for Scripture commands us to judge with righteous judgment. Yet it is arrogance to think yourself better than your fellow-servant. The same Paul who calls himself a slave speaks of others as brothers. Bring down your pride, tread under foot your boastfulness. For this is arrogance: to think yourself better than one's fellow-servants. To pass the true sentence on things comes not of boasting but of strictness of life.

The woman you speak of, you say her choice is not of God. You ask God to correct her path and keep her safe from evil. That is a proper prayer, but hear also this. The Lord Himself, when He knew one would betray Him, did not immediately convict the traitor but veiled the matter, giving him room for repentance. He said, "He that eateth bread with Me hath lifted up his heel against Me," putting forward what was most fitted to shame him, yet with forbearance. So too when you see a soul walking a destructive way, the greatness of the sin is sufficient for correction in the mind of one who understands. Pray, then, but do not be riveted to inconsideration which only brings sorrow of heart and no advantage. Do not let concern for another's path become a fever born of your own pride.

But now you turn to yourself and ask for help with arrogance. This is where the true battle lies. From where does this disease arise? From not looking into our own concerns, from busying ourselves about the nature of everything else while to ourselves and our own nature we never look. You ask for repairs. Then consider what man is. Man is a subject matter out of which can be made either an angel or a beast. It all depends upon the use. Virtue makes angels, and this is in our power. If virtue be absent, it is no advantage to be an angel by nature, for the Devil was once an angel. If virtue be present, it is no loss to be a man by nature, for John was a man, and Elijah, and they went up into heaven. So then, the power to become a child of God is put into your own hands. To despise the empty things of this present world is not arrogance but greatness of soul. To know this and yet remain puffed up, that is the beginning of pride which is not to know the Lord.

You cannot root out arrogance until you remove its cause. Look to your own nature, your own sins, your own account before God. The one who slanders or acts wickedly does injury to himself, adding occasion of punishment, while you, if you remain meek, suffer only evil report with men. Do not let your mind be fixed on the faults of others as a way of avoiding the strict examination of yourself. For there is no greater evil than inconsideration. As you have prayed, let God correct whatever needs repair. That repair begins when you see clearly that you are a fellow-servant, bound to the same Master, who alone gives grace sufficient to deliver us from this present evil age.

It is a good and honest thing that you see two needs here: the path someone you care about is walking, and the repair work still needed in your own heart. That kind of clarity does not come from pride; it comes from God already stirring your conscience. The very fact that you name your own arrogance alongside your concern for her tells me you are not only looking out, but looking in. Do not lose that.

When a person is following a path that is not of God, it is not unloving to say so. The fear of the Lord is to hate evil, and that hatred begins with an honest verdict: the way that seems right to a man, the broad road that many take, leads to destruction. It may look harmless for a season, it may even feel like freedom, but God’s patience is not permission. He sees every step. He beholds the evil and the good. So when someone continues in a way that He calls evil, the end of that path is not peace. It is separation from life, and from Him. You are right to pray that God would correct her course, pull her back, and keep her from harm. That prayer is not arrogant; it is merciful.

But as you pray for her, remember that every one of us stands on a path, and none of us drifts toward righteousness by accident. The inner war is real: I would do good, but evil is present with me. The part of you that rises up in arrogance, that resists correction, that secretly thinks you are wise in your own eyes, that is not a flaw to manage; it is an enemy to depose. The fear of the Lord is also to depart from evil, not to negotiate with it. If you find yourself bristling when God’s Word exposes something, do not mistake that impulse for strength. A man who hates reproof will die, but the one who takes hold of instruction finds life.

You cannot fix what you justify. The moment you say, “This arrogance is just who I am,” you have closed the door God wants to open. But when you confess it as the evil it is, you step into the light where healing begins. God does not correct us to crush us; He corrects us because He sees the pit at the end of the path. He wants health for your bones and marrow for your soul. That repair you ask for, of the arrogance and anything else that needs it, He will do as you keep walking in the fear of the Lord and not in your own wisdom.

Keep praying for her, and keep repenting for yourself. That is not a contradiction. That is two people under the same grace. There is only one path that leads to life, and Jesus Christ is that way. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and you will find that the evil you once loved loses its grip, and the steps He sets before you become straight. Live in the light, and ask Him to do the same for her.
