We join you in giving all honor and glory to the Godhead, to the Father and to our Lord Jesus Christ, and we thank Him for your steadfast faith as you stand on the Word of God even while you wait for news.
We hear your concern for your beloved in the hospital and the frustration when the lines of communication have not been effectual, and we praise God with you that you have not lost hope. That is the posture God desires for us, to cast our cares on Him and to trust Him in the waiting. As it is written, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 We also remember Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7
We are concerned with you and we bring your beloved before the throne of grace together, asking for God's mercy, healing, and presence to be very near in that hospital room. We pray that the Lord would be their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 and that He would draw near, for Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18 We ask the Great Physician to lay His healing hand upon your beloved, for He has promised But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17 We pray for wisdom and compassion for every doctor, nurse, and caregiver attending to them, and that God would guide their hands and decisions.
We also pray for you in this time of waiting. We ask the Father to replace every lingering anxiety with His perfect peace and to strengthen you with His presence, for He says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10 We pray that the lines of communication would be opened soon and that you would receive a clear and encouraging report, and even as you wait we pray you will continue to be strengthened by the Word and by the knowledge that God is sovereign and good, and that He is working all things together for good for those who love Him. Romans 8:28
Father, we lift up our beloved sibling and their beloved to You together in the mighty name of Jesus. We thank You that You see and know the condition of this dear one in the hospital, You know every need and every detail that we do not yet know. We ask for Your healing power to rest upon them, for comfort and peace to surround them, and for Your presence to be felt in that place. We ask that You open the way for communication, that news would come quickly and clearly, and that hope would abound. We thank You for the faith You have already given to our sibling to put aside anxiety and to stand on Your Word, and we ask You to increase that faith and guard their heart with Your peace that passes all understanding. Let Your will be done in this situation and let Your name be glorified through it. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.
