Go

We hear your request and we join with you in seeking the Lord's clear guidance in this matter, for we know you desire to do what is right and honoring to Him.

We do not claim to give a prophetic confirmation apart from God's Word and His Spirit, but we can pray with you for wisdom and point you to His promises. We are told to Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6. And we are promised But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5. The Lord also says I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. Psalm 32:8.

If the Lord is stirring in your heart to release this man and to step into a new season of working alongside his niece, we pray that you will find peace as you surrender that decision fully to Him. Sometimes letting go is an act of obedience, trust, and love, and God can use even painful separations for His good purposes, for we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28. We pray you will seek godly counsel, pray and even fast if led, and watch for the Lord to confirm His will through His Word, through peace that passes understanding, and through the counsel of mature believers.

If this him you mention is a man you have been in a courtship or romantic relationship with, we want to gently encourage you to consider whether that relationship has been honoring to God. We believe courtship should be with the purpose of discerning marriage to a fellow believer in Christ, for marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman before God. Any intimacy outside of that marriage covenant is fornication and does not honor the Lord, and we would urge you to repent and turn from it if that has been part of the relationship. If this is not a romantic relationship but a business or ministry partnership, we still encourage you to ensure that any new alliance with his niece is entered into with honesty, integrity, and clear boundaries that glorify God. Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31.

We also noticed your prayer did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is by placing our faith in Jesus, His death and resurrection for our sins, that we are saved and our prayers are heard.

So we pray together with you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this dear one to You and ask for Your perfect will to be made clear. If it is Your will for her to let him go, grant her the grace and strength to release him with love and forgiveness and without bitterness. Heal any hurt and give her peace that surpasses understanding as promised in Philippians 4:6-7. If joining with his niece is the path You have prepared, we ask that You open doors that no man can shut and close doors that should remain closed, and that You establish the work of her hands for Your glory. Help her not to be conformed to this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of her mind, that she may prove what is the good and well-pleasing and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2. Lead her, guide her, and let her know that You have plans for peace and not for evil, to give her hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

We hear how much you want to get this right and not move ahead without God. Letting someone go is never light, and considering joining with his niece adds another layer to sort through.

When we are asking for a clear yes or no, it helps to slow down and create space to listen well. What has helped many is bringing the decision before the Lord over several days rather than looking for an instant sign, and inviting one or two trusted, grounded believers who know you to weigh in. They can often see motives or practical realities we miss when we are close to it. It can also help to write out honestly what draws you to each option, what concerns remain, and where you sense peace or restraint as you pray.

We will not claim to have the final answer for you, but we can walk with you as you seek God's will with humility and patience.

Father, we lift this choice to You in Jesus' name. Give our friend clarity, wisdom and peace as You lead step by step. Guard their heart from haste and from fear, and show them the next right step to take. Help them to hear Your voice and to trust You with the outcome. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

The question you have laid before the Lord concerning going and letting go is one that requires not a hasty answer from man, but a seeking of the mind of Christ. The Scripture asks, Where go you, and it is wise not to embark before you know where the vessel is going and by what chart it is steered.

There are ships that go, for that is what ships are made to do, to launch out into the deep, yet they go according to the wind and guided by the helm and the chart, and some make better way than others according to their build. So in this matter you must ask not only whether to go, but how you go and where you go, and whether Christ goes with you. The word of the Lord is, Let us go forth unto Him. That is the heart of all true going. To go forth unto Him is to go forth to His truth, to take His Word as your only standard, and just where His Word leads you, there to go, no matter where.

You ask for a confirmation to let him go and to join forces with his niece. I cannot give a word of man to confirm a path that only the Lord can make plain, nor would it be faithful to ask God to bless a course simply because it is desired. What is needful is to go to Jesus and tell Him all and there leave it, that you may dismiss the burden and be refreshed. He knows which way you should go, and He knows the way of those concerned, and He will bring forth as gold those who are tried, proved and assayed in the fire.

Therefore seek the Lord in prayer with an open Bible, and seek counsel also from faithful and godly persons in your own congregation who know you and can walk with you. Ask whether this going is of faith, whether it is according to holiness and truth, whether it leads nearer to Christ or further from Him. When Christ and the world go together you cannot tell which a man is following, but when there is a separation and Christ goes one way and interest or pleasure seems to go the other, then it is seen whether you will stay with Christ.

May the Lord give you that peace which passes all understanding, not a peace that comes from a word of man, but the peace of one who has heard, Your faith has saved you, go in peace. Whether you are called to stay or to go, to wait or to act, may you go in peace, resting in Him, fulfilling your calling as before God, and hearing His voice still saying, Go in peace, as you go through life and into all the duties He appoints.

We will pray that the Lord in His goodness will lead you to repentance where repentance is needed, to wisdom where wisdom is lacking, and to full assurance of His will, that you may not go back to old confidence in the flesh, but go forward in faith, obeying though you know not fully where you go, as Abraham obeyed and went out not knowing where he went, because he knew whom he followed.

Be of good cheer. If you go into the fire as gold, you will come forth as gold, proved and warranted pure by Him who watches the furnace.

For a while now, I've been noticing a pattern. We're told not to be judgemental. However, can't Christians go the other extreme? Meaning, many times I or another Christian might point out a deep dive into sin in modern society. This is to make us aware of what we're dealing with, the spiritual...
