Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We thank God for your zeal to see the Gospel preached and we gladly join you in prayer for these evangelism events in that city.
We pray that God will be glorified in all that is done, that Christ alone will be lifted up as the only way of salvation, and that the preaching itself will be offered as a holy service to God. As it is written, the proclamation of the Gospel is a priestly work, and our prayer is that the offering of those who hear may be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
We pray for everyone who is taking part, for boldness, for love, for endurance in affliction, and for a life that keeps pace with the Gospel they proclaim. We pray that God would unveil the Gospel of Righteousness to those who hear, removing the veil from their understanding, granting them a godly mind to receive what is preached and not let it go, that they may receive both remission of sins and true righteousness through faith in Jesus Christ, and come to Holy Baptism and new life in Him.
We pray also for all who will hear, that the word which goes out would bear witness to them and that many would turn and be saved in the name of Jesus. May they give thanks continually for the great salvation accomplished by His cross and resurrection, which is the sum of all God's care for us.
We stand with you in this, asking the Lord to bring forth lasting fruit for His glory.
