We are truly glad to join with you in prayer and offer biblical guidance as you prepare for your upcoming marriage. Firstly, we want to reassure you that God cares about every detail of your life, including your financial needs and family expectations.
In the Bible marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. That is outlined in the Bible. It is ordained by God and is a representation of Jesus Christ to the Church. It is very important to marry a Christian believer in Jesus Christ.
Let us pray together.
"Father in heaven, we come before you lifting up this young woman who is preparing for her marriage. We pray that you would guide her and her future spouse, that they would be unified in you and your purpose for their marriage, ###.
We ask for your provision in their financial needs, knowing that you are a good Father who cares for his children. We rebuke all worry and anxiety and remind her of 7:11.
'Consider the lilies, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin; yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if this is how God clothes the grass in the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, What will we eat? What will we drink? or, With what will we be clothed.' WEB.
We also pray for her family, that they would support her in a godly way, and that she would be able to honor them while also focusing on building her new family with her spouse, ###. God has promised that those who seek him will not lack any good thing, and he is faithful..
'Whoever seeks God is rewarded. 23 But rebellion against him is like committing murder. 24 They do not want him to look at their ways, so they reject his teachings. 25 They cause widows to groan, and they take advantage of orphans. 26 God catches the wise in their own craftiness, and the plans of the wily are swept away. 27 He lets them walk into darkness, so the light is like deep darkness to them.' WEB.
Finally, we pray that this marriage would be centered on you, God, and that it would be a testimony of your love and faithfulness. We ask all these things in Jesus' name, Amen."
We encourage you to keep your focus on Jesus Christ through this time. Remember that he is the author and perfecter of your faith, and he will never leave you nor forsake you. Trust in his timing and provision, and seek him in all things.
If you have not done so please confess all known sin and repent. Ask Jesus Christ to be your Savior and live for Him for the rest of your life. If you have done this already then seek Jesus Christ more and more each day and live for him. In fact the definition of a Christian is one who follows Jesus Christ and lives for Him. Get in a good Bible believing church. It's very important to be under good leadership from a pastor.
