Getting attacked by an evil spirit

Sleymarrin

Disciple of Prayer
Hi I keep getting attacked by sn evil spirit, that same evil spirit has partially posessed me. I want it gone foe good.

We hear your cry and we stand with you right now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of evil. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us that our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. We want you to know you are not alone and you do not have to live under this oppression, for Jesus has already won the victory on the cross.

We notice your request does not mention the name of Jesus, and we must lovingly tell you that it is only through Jesus that we have authority over the enemy and access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is not by our own strength or by rituals that this evil spirit will leave, but by the name and blood of Jesus Christ alone. If you have not yet fully surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for Romans 10:9 promises that you will be saved. When we belong to Jesus, the Holy Spirit dwells in us and no evil spirit can rightfully possess what belongs to God, for 1 John 4:4 says You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world.

We also want to encourage you to submit fully to God and close any doors that may have given this spirit opportunity. The enemy looks for openings through involvement in the occult, witchcraft, horoscopes, Ouija boards, drugs, sexual immorality, harboring unforgiveness or bitterness, or lingering in darkness. We urge you to renounce and turn away from any such things, to confess all known sin to God, to forgive those who have hurt you, and to remove any objects or influences that honor darkness. Then we are called to resist the devil standing firm in faith. James 4:7 says Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. And Ephesians 6:11 tells us to Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. That means daily filling your mind and home with the Word of God, with prayer, with worship, and with fellowship with other believers who can stand with you. Jesus has given us authority, for Luke 10:19 says Behold, I give you the authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you when you walk in that authority under His lordship.

We now pray together with you and for you and we rebuke this evil spirit directly. Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We lift up this dear one to You who is being attacked and tormented, and we ask for Your mercy, Your forgiveness, and Your deliverance. We confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and that His blood was shed for the forgiveness of sins and for freedom from all darkness. We renounce on behalf of this dear one any and every opening to the enemy whether knowingly or unknowingly made, and we ask You to close those doors forever by the blood of Jesus. In the name of Jesus Christ we command every evil spirit that has been attacking and partially oppressing this dear one to leave now and to go where Jesus sends you and never return. You have no right and no authority here, for this life belongs to God. We ask You Father to fill this dear one with Your Holy Spirit, with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and with Your light that drives out all darkness. Surround this home with Your holy angels, let Your Word dwell richly within, and help this dear one to walk daily in obedience, in prayer, in reading Scripture, and in fellowship in a Bible believing church where deliverance and discipleship can continue. Give strength to fast and pray and to put on the full armor of God each day. We declare that whom the Son sets free is free indeed, and we thank You for complete and lasting freedom. We ask all this in the victorious name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and Deliverer, Amen.

Thank you for sharing this so honestly. We hear how heavy and frightening this has been, and how deeply you want to be free and at peace for good. Wanting it gone is completely understandable.

We want you to know you do not have to carry this alone. In Christ we have a Deliverer who is stronger than any evil, and He often brings freedom as we walk with other mature believers rather than trying to fight in isolation.

A steady next step that helps many people is to bring this into the light with trusted pastoral care soon. If you have a pastor or a couple of mature believers you trust, reach out this week and ask if two or three of them could meet with you to listen carefully, pray with you, and walk with you over time. Be open about any past involvements, relationships, or habits that may have left a door open, and about any unforgiveness you are carrying, so they can support you as you turn away from those things and receive forgiveness. Staying connected afterward in regular prayer, Scripture, and fellowship with a small community helps keep your life filled with what is good and guards against feeling alone again.

If you ever feel unsafe or overwhelmed, please reach out right away to someone nearby you trust and stay with others until you have support.

Father, we lift our friend to You right now. We ask for Your nearness, protection, and peace to surround them. Lead them to wise, caring help and to people who will walk faithfully with them. We ask in Jesus' name for freedom, rest, and a clear path forward. Amen.

Your cry for deliverance is one that the Lord Himself delights to answer, for upon Mount Zion shall be deliverance and there shall be holiness. What you describe is no light trouble, and the power of darkness is indeed a terrible power. That master spirit, the destroyer, would drag down if he could, and our own evil natures have no strength to overcome him of ourselves. If we are ever set free from sin and Satan, it will be eternally and infinitely true that the Lord brought us forth out of the house of bondage.

Take comfort in this, that deliverance from the power of darkness is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. You cannot snap your own bands or drag off your own evil habits. The text says, He has delivered us from the power of darkness. This is the work of your heavenly Father, altogether and alone, and therefore you must look to Him and not to your own strength or to any outward form apart from the Spirit of it.

Hear the voice that comes from the excellent Glory concerning those who seem about to be dragged down, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, I have found a ransom. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance if God had not thought of it, and He has not only invented it but He has found it. It is a gift of Divine Love. The ransom is Christ Jesus Himself, who bore sin and broke its power. We are daily saved, for salvation abides there at all times. If we fall into trouble at any time, we fly to Jesus. There is no true liberty but that of which Christ makes you free.

Therefore fly to Him now with a plain and honest heart. Confess your sin and your helplessness before Him, and trust not in any confidence of your own making, for it must be a real work of the Spirit and growth of grace within, grasping with living tendrils the promise of the living God. Turn from all known sin and from loving the world and the things thereof, for it is through holiness that the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions. He hates hypocrisy and cannot set His seal where there is impurity, but where there is a humble turning to Christ, He is gracious.

Seek Him in these ways until peace comes. Cry mightily to the Lord in prayer, in the name of Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved. Feed daily upon His Word, for it is your sword and your comfort. Walk in holiness and in fellowship with faithful believers, and open your case fully to a trusted pastor or elders in a Bible believing church who can pray with you, watch over you, and help you to walk in the light. If you have given any place to the enemy through sinful practices, images, or associations, put them away completely. Being born of God you come under the Divine wing and the Lord shall preserve you from all evil.

You shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord, if you are indeed upon Mount Zion by faith in the ransom. We will pray for you that Infinite Mercy may snap your bands and set you free, and that you may be kept from yourself and from all the attacks of your old sins, saved from the devil and from evil company, because God has said it. Look to Jesus now, trust His blood and His power, and rest in this, that He who has delivered will yet deliver.
