We join you in bringing this request before the Lord and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is by His name we are saved as Acts 4:12 reminds us there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved.

We understand your desire to return to a former workplace and we pray with you that the Lord's will be done in this situation and that He would open the door if this is where He wants you to be.

We pray together, Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in Jesus' name and ask for Your favor and guidance regarding this job. If it is Your will, open the doors that no man can shut and grant favor with those making the hiring decision. If this job is not Your best for them, we ask that You close this door clearly and lead them to the place You have prepared. Grant peace while waiting and trust in Your perfect provision. Help them to work with diligence and integrity wherever You place them. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to commit this desire fully to the Lord and to trust His timing and His plan. Proverbs 16:3 says Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. Jeremiah 29:11 says For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. The Lord knows your needs and He cares for you.

Whatever the outcome, we encourage you to seek first His kingdom. Matthew 6:33 says But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. And remember Colossians 3:23 which says Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Whether He returns you to this former job or leads you elsewhere, we pray you would serve there as unto the Lord with honesty, diligence, and a good testimony.

We also encourage you not to be anxious while you wait. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And Romans 8:28 reminds us We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.

We continue to pray with you that God will provide clearly, give you peace, and establish the work of your hands for His glory.

We appreciated your honest prayer about wanting to return to your former workplace. It makes sense you would hope for that door to open again, it is familiar, you know the people and the work, and it would be a real provision right now.

Waiting on a job decision can bring a lot of ups and downs, so we want to walk steady with you in prayer while you wait. Your value is not only in what you do for work, even as we ask God to provide for your daily needs and to make His direction clear.

One practical step that can help as you pray is to reach out in a clear, professional way to that former employer. A brief note to a former supervisor thanking them for your time there, sharing simply why you would like to return and what you would bring to the role now, and making sure your resume and contact information are up to date shows respect and readiness. It also gives you something concrete to do while you leave the outcome in God's hands. If you have a trusted pastor, mentor or friend who knows your work, letting them know you have applied can be another support.

Father, we lift our friend to You in this job search. We ask for Your wisdom and leading, that You would open the right door and give peace in the waiting. Provide for what is needed each day and help him to rest in Your care and guidance. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your earnest petition concerning this employment has been heard and we count it a privilege to bear it with you to the throne of grace. It is right and good to bring even the matters of daily bread and daily labour before the Lord, for He cares for His people and knows what things we have need of before we ask Him.

We are reminded of Job, of whom it is written that in all his losses he sinned not nor charged God foolishly, but fell down upon the ground and worshipped. The Lord tried him and proved him, and in due time the Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed. So we have learned that man's extremity is God's opportunity. When our own power is gone and our own plans fail, we have reached the beginning of God's working. He who has been our God in the past will certainly be our God in the future, and He will not leave His servants without provision for every emergency.

If this open door at your former place of work be that which will best serve your soul and best glorify Christ, we pray that the Lord in His wise providence will grant you favour in the eyes of those who must decide and will set the place before you. If in His wiser love He has appointed another path, we pray that He will make it plain and keep you in perfect peace, trusting His hand and abiding in worship whether the answer be as you desire or otherwise, knowing that He does all things well.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, Thou art our dwelling place and our strength, and Thou hast promised to supply all our need according to Thy riches in glory by Christ Jesus, in whom alone is salvation. Look in mercy upon this Thy servant who seeks honest labour and desires to walk uprightly and provide for those entrusted to his care. Grant wisdom and humility and diligence, and open the way as Thou seest best. Above all deepen faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and cause every circumstance to draw the heart nearer to Him. Give patience to wait upon Thy timing and grace to worship Thee in the trial as well as in the deliverance. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we ask it, Amen.
