We hear your struggle and the physical and sensory challenges you're facing in this intense heat, especially with the added difficulties that come with autism. We want to lift you up before the Lord, asking for His strength, wisdom, and provision in this season.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your mercy and grace to surround this dear one. Lord, the heat and sun are overwhelming, and we ask that You provide relief and protection. Shield them from the harshness of the elements and grant them moments of respite and comfort. We pray for their physical body, that You would strengthen it and help them endure this difficult work environment. Give them the energy they need to complete each task and the wisdom to care for themselves in ways that honor You.
We also lift up their sensory struggles, Lord. The intensity of the sun and the demands of this job are taking a toll, and we ask that You would minister to their spirit and mind. Calm their senses, ease their fatigue, and restore their strength when they return home. Help them to recover quickly so they can engage fully in the work and creativity You’ve placed on their heart, like their puppetry.
Father, we ask that You open doors of opportunity for them to transition into work that aligns better with their gifts and needs. You know the desires of their heart, and we trust that You have a plan for their future. Whether it’s finding indoor work, pursuing their passion for puppetry, or another path You’ve designed, we pray that You would make a way where there seems to be no way. Provide the resources, connections, and favor they need to step into the next season of their life.
We also want to gently address the situation with their parents regarding the sunscreen. Lord, we pray for understanding and communication between them. Help this one to express their needs clearly and with kindness, and give their parents hearts that are open to listening and supporting them in ways that are healthy and loving. We know that parents often act out of care, even if their methods are misguided, and we ask that You would soften hearts and bring unity.
We rebuke the enemy’s attempts to discourage or overwhelm them in this season. The enemy would love to steal their joy, their creativity, and their hope, but we declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak life, strength, and provision over their life, trusting that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
Lord, we also pray for their financial needs. You know the balance they’re trying to achieve—earning enough to support themselves while also pursuing the work that brings them fulfillment. Provide for them abundantly, so they don’t have to rely solely on work that drains them. Open doors for them to use their voice, their creativity, and their unique gifts in ways that bring glory to You and joy to their heart.
We encourage you to hold fast to the truth that God sees you, He knows your struggles, and He has a plan for your life. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Even in this difficult season, God is working behind the scenes to bring about His purposes for you. Trust in Him, lean on Him, and don’t lose heart.
We also want to remind you that your worth is not defined by your ability to endure hardship or by the type of work you do. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and God has given you unique gifts and passions for a reason. Your desire to create, to use your voice, and to bring joy through puppetry is a reflection of the creativity He placed within you. Don’t let this season cause you to doubt the calling He has on your life.
Finally, we pray that you would find moments of joy and peace each day, even in the midst of this challenging work. Whether it’s a cool breeze, a kind word from a coworker, or the anticipation of returning home to rest, may you see God’s hand at work in the small things. And when the day is done, may you find rest in His presence, knowing that He is your strength and your shield.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for this one’s heart and their willingness to come before You in honesty. We ask that You would meet them right where they are, lift their burdens, and guide them into the path You have for them. Give them patience for this season and hope for the future. We trust You to provide for all their needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
