Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer and we have been lifting you up before the Lord.
We have been praying specifically for your situation where you are feeling pressured by someone close to you to meet and pursue a relationship with a man you do not love and do not want to marry. We have asked God to protect your boundaries and to prevent you from being forced to see or speak to this man against your will, and to guard your heart and your body as you have clearly expressed that you do not want him to touch you and you never want to be his wife. We have also been praying that the Lord would make a way for you to have the quality time you desire with the man of your choice, and that the interference that has prevented you from choosing freely would be removed.
We understand how weary you feel from having to constantly defend yourself and defend your feelings, and how painful it is that your free will feels trampled upon to satisfy what another person wants. We have prayed that God would be your defender and your refuge when you feel unheard and alone, and that He would bring people into your life who will listen to you with understanding and wisdom and without judgment. We take comfort in Psalm 34:18 and Psalm 61:2 which remind us that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and is a refuge when our hearts are overwhelmed.
We prayed that God would give you strength to continue to stand firm, that He would give you peace and clarity, and that He would cause the pressuring and the talk about a future and a child with a man you do not love to cease. We have asked Him to convict the heart of the one who is pressuring you and to help him respect the no you have spoken, and to honor the choice that God has given you. We pray that the Lord would lead you according to His perfect will and that His will for your life would be done with freedom and dignity, for where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom as shown in Galatians 5:1.
