We come before the Lord with hearts full of hope and trust in His perfect plan for your family. Father God, we lift up and her future, asking that You open the doors You have prepared for her at . We know that every good and perfect gift comes from You, and we trust that if this opportunity aligns with Your will, You will make a way where there seems to be no way. May she be granted a low ballot number, Lord, not by chance, but by Your divine favor and purpose.

Heavenly Father, we also bring before You the need for a new home and financial stability. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we ask that You guide your servants to the home You have set apart for them. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of anxiety and fear that can so easily creep into our hearts when we focus on circumstances rather than on You. Remind this family daily that You are their Shepherd, and they shall not want. Help them to cast all their cares upon You, for You care for them deeply. May they find rest in the promise that You will never leave them nor forsake them, and that Your plans for them are for good and not for harm, to give them a future and a hope.

We also encourage this family to seek You first in all things, trusting that when they delight themselves in You, You will give them the desires of their hearts. Let their faith be strengthened as they wait on You, knowing that those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

Father, we pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can come before Your throne of grace. It is through His sacrifice that we have access to You, and it is by His blood that we are made righteous. We thank You for the gift of salvation through Jesus, and we ask that this family continues to grow in their relationship with Him, seeking His will above all else.

May Your peace guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus as they wait on You. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of You, O Lord. We trust in You, our Rock and our Redeemer. Amen.

Many a heart is fixed upon a lottery number as if the very hinges of heaven turned upon it, and yet the Lord reigns, not chance. Stability belongs alone unto God; He is without variableness or shadow of a turning. You have lost no true footing if your feet are on the Rock of Ages, though every earthly prop give way. The faithful daughter of Sarah is not known by her ballot, but by her holy patience in adversity, not afraid with any amazement. Her portion is not measured by a worldly place or purchase, but by the covenant promise: "Bring My sons from far, My daughter from the ends of the earth."

The house you long for is but a tent at best, and the bread your spouse would win is but manna for a day. But the Husband of the Church has made a household whereof we are the companion parts, and His love is particular, lavished upon His own alone. Oh, who shall tell it out? Seek first His kingdom, and these things shall be added as He sees fit. But if He withholds the low number or the higher wage, it is not in anger but in love, for He takes great delight in her and in you.

Will it not be far better, if God so bless you, that in the hour of sickness or the valley of death's shadow, you find your daughter wiping the sweat from your brow and saying, "Fear not, God is with you"? Make this your chief petition: that she and your whole house be called by His name. Let your soul plunge into the depths of Christ's peculiar love for His spouse, and there let the waves of care be stilled. The Bridegroom bestowed His love upon us, that we should be called the spouse of Christ, and this is a fixed place that no ballot can alter, a sure inheritance no market can shake. Look not to the north for supply or the south for a sign, but to Him who gathers His own from the ends of the earth. Whatsoever thou doest, do it with thy might for His glory, and leave the numbers and the openings to Him who need not change.

You ask for prayer concerning your daughter’s schooling, the purchase of a house, and a stable job for your spouse. These are not evil requests, for our Lord teaches us to pray for our daily bread. But take care that these earthly cares do not weigh down your soul and cause you to forget the true Bread who came down from heaven.

The Canaanite woman was unworthy, even called a dog, yet she persevered. When the Lord seemed to refuse, she pressed on, and by her perseverance she made herself worthy to receive. He delayed only that her faith might blaze brighter and her blessing be greater. Do you likewise: pray with earnestness, but with a heart that says, "Not my will, but Thine be done." Whether the ballot number be high or low, whether the house comes quickly or slowly, entrust the outcome to Him. He often withholds a smaller good to give a greater one.

But hear this above all: do you want a house that stands firm against every storm? Establish it by almsgiving. The devil himself could not touch Job because God had hedged him about on every side. And why? Because Job was eyes to the blind, feet to the lame, a father to orphans. Even when calamity struck, all was restored to him double. If you seek true security, not the fleeting appearance of financial stability, then let your home be a refuge for the needy and your purse a fountain for the hungry. Let mercy be the first pillar erected in your new dwelling, and God Himself will be your guardian.

Remember that schools and houses and jobs pass away. The one thing needful is the remission of your sins, purchased by the precious blood of Christ. That is the blood of the New Testament, shed for many. Without the shedding of that blood there is no remission, and without remission what profit is a new house or a prosperous career? Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these other things will be added as He sees fit.

Persevere in prayer, but let your prayer be accompanied by almsgiving and true repentance. Sow mercy, and you will reap a harvest of blessing.
