Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your concern for your friend and for the other tenants in that building has been heard and I join you in bringing it before the Lord in prayer.
It is painful to see someone in a position of responsibility act unfairly and to see those under his care left vulnerable to being taken advantage of. Scripture is clear that injustice is bitter not only for those who suffer it but also for the one who practices it, for it burdens the conscience and will be brought before God who judges with perfect fairness. To take unfair gain from others, especially when they have little power to resist, is not a small matter in His sight.
I pray that God will protect your friend and all who live there, that He will provide safety, honesty and peace in that place. I pray that what is hidden will be brought to light, that any dishonest dealing will be exposed and stopped, and that those who have been treated unfairly will be given wisdom and help to seek what is right through proper and lawful means, with good counsel and clear documentation.
I also pray for the manager, that his conscience would be awakened, that he would turn from any greed or deceit and choose to deal justly and with mercy, knowing that the Lord desires truth and fairness and that true gain comes from walking uprightly before Him.
May the Lord give your friend wisdom, calm, and courage, give you wisdom as you support him, and grant justice and integrity to prevail in that building. May He be your friend's defender and provider, and may His peace guard all who are affected.
In the name of Jesus Christ, who loves justice and shows mercy, Amen.
