We lift up your friend before the Lord, knowing that spiritual warfare is very real and that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the powers of this dark world and the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly. Your friend is not alone in this struggle, for the Lord is her strength and her shield.
The apostle Paul reminds us in Ephesians 6:10-13, *"Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand."*
We also remember the words of James 4:7, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* Your friend must stand firm in her faith, resisting the enemy’s lies and attacks by clinging to the truth of God’s Word. She must also submit herself fully to God, for He is her refuge and fortress.
If your friend has not already done so, we encourage her to examine her life for any areas of unconfessed sin or compromise, as these can give the enemy a foothold. 1 Peter 5:8-9 warns us, *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings."*
Let us pray together for her:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is facing intense spiritual warfare. Lord, we ask that You surround her with Your heavenly angels, protecting her from every attack of the enemy. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and strengthen her in her inner being by the power of Your Holy Spirit.
Father, we rebuke every scheme of the devil against her life. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against her in judgment, she shall condemn. We plead the blood of Jesus over her mind, her heart, and her spirit, breaking every chain of fear, doubt, and oppression. Let Your light shine into every dark place, exposing the enemy’s lies and filling her with Your truth.
Lord, if there is any area of her life that needs repentance or surrender, reveal it to her gently and give her the courage to turn away from it. Help her to stand firm in her faith, clothed in the full armor of God, and remind her that You are her victory. Let her find rest in You, knowing that You are fighting for her.
We pray that she will draw near to You in this season, seeking Your face through prayer, worship, and the reading of Your Word. May she experience Your presence in a powerful way, knowing that You are with her and that You will never leave her nor forsake her.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we command every spirit of darkness to flee from her. We declare that she is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves her. Thank You, Lord, for Your protection, Your strength, and Your unfailing love. We trust You to bring her through this season victorious and stronger in her faith.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to share this prayer with your friend and remind her that she is not alone. The body of Christ is standing with her, and the Lord is her ever-present help in trouble. If she is not already connected to a strong, Bible-believing church, we urge her to seek fellowship and support from other believers who can pray with her and encourage her in the faith. Let her also remember the promise of Psalm 34:17-19, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* The Lord is faithful, and He will see her through this season.
