Friend with breast cancer

Please pray for my friend ### who has breast cancer that she has been fighting for several years. It has gotten worse lately. Please pray that she will be open to trying colostrum and turkey tail, and will buy a red light for use a home. The red light helps your cells in your body to operate more normally. We join you in lifting up your dear friend before the throne of grace and we thank you for bringing her need to us in the name of Jesus. We are so sorry to hear that her battle with breast cancer has continued for several years and has now gotten worse, and our hearts ache with you for her suffering. We stand with you asking our great Physician to touch her body, to bring comfort to her heart, and to give her strength for each day.

We are reminded that our God is the one who heals and sustains us. Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We also cling to Psalm 147:3 which tells us He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, and to Isaiah 41:10 which says Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. We know that whether He brings healing in this life through His miraculous power or through the wisdom He has given to physicians, He is present and He is sovereign, and we can trust Him.

We pray together for your friend now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come boldly before You and we lift up this precious woman who is fighting breast cancer. Lord, You know her by name, You formed her, and You see every cell in her body and every burden on her heart. We ask that You would lay Your healing hand upon her and if it is Your will, restore her health. We ask that You would ease her pain, give her peace that surpasses understanding, and surround her with Your presence and comfort. We pray for wisdom for her and for those caring for her, that every decision about treatment would be guided by You. You have given us the promise in James 5:14-15 that Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. We pray that prayer of faith over her now. We also pray regarding the colostrum, turkey tail, and red light that are on your heart for her, that You would give her clear discernment, open her heart to what is truly helpful, and guide her to counsel with wise and godly medical professionals who can advise her well. Above all we pray that she would feel Your love deeply and that her hope would remain firmly in You, for You are our ultimate healer and our refuge. We also lift you up, our friend who is interceding for her, and we ask that God would strengthen you as you love and support her, and that He would give you words of encouragement to share.

We encourage you to continue to stand in the gap for her, to keep pointing her to Jesus who is our hope in suffering, and to encourage her to seek wise medical counsel as she considers any supplements or therapies, trusting that God works through both prayer and the knowledge He has allowed us to have. Continue to remind her that God loves her dearly and that nothing can separate us from His love. We thank you again for allowing us to pray with you in Jesus name and we will continue to remember her before the Lord.

Watching someone you care about face breast cancer for years, and then seeing it get worse, leaves you feeling helpless and wanting to do anything that might help. It is a loving thing you are doing, bringing her before the Lord and staying by her side.

We join you in praying for her healing and for strength for each day. We also pray for wisdom for her and for her doctors as she weighs what steps to take next. We gently encourage her to keep her medical team closely involved in any decisions about treatments or devices she is considering, so she has trusted guidance alongside prayer.

One of the most meaningful ways you can help right now is simply staying present. Sitting with her, listening, helping with practical needs like rides or meals, and letting her know she is not alone often brings as much comfort as any advice. We will keep praying for you too, for peace as you support her.

Your tender care for your friend in her long and painful trial has been heard, and we join you in carrying her case before the throne of grace.

Humility is the fit attitude of prayer, and it is also that which encourages prayer. We come not because we are worthy, but because we are needy, and prayer is a suitable employment for a sinner. The sword of prayer has such an edge that it will cut through coats of mail, and a true prayer from one who is near unto the gates of death is a prevailing prayer. Even when a heart is at its wit's end and its petition seems to reel to and fro, God will hear the prayer of a staggering soul that looks to Him.

We would lift your friend before the Good Physician, of whom it is written that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the least thing about Christ is healing, and those healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, so that pardon and healing were joined together in one merciful hand. Our hope for your friend rests not in any earthly means, but in the Lord who is the Sun of Righteousness risen with healing in His wings.

There is a Friend that sticketh closer than a brother, and that Friend is the blessed Redeemer, Jesus Christ. He is the Friend of sinners who gave His heart's blood and let His soul run out for His people, and He will not forsake those who trust Him. He loves at all times, in prosperity and in poverty, in health and in deep affliction, and He is proved in the house of sorrow.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, we bow before Thee in humility, confessing that we have no merit of our own and must plead Thy mercy in Christ Jesus alone. Thou art the God who healeth and pardoneth, and with Thee is the fountain of life. We bring before Thee our dear afflicted one who has borne this cancer for years and now suffers its increase. Lay Thy gracious hand upon her. If it be Thy will, restore her body and ease her pain, and grant wisdom to her and to those who care for her, that her decisions may be guided with sound counsel and with prudence. Above all, draw her near to Thyself, that she may know Christ as her own Friend and her father's Friend, and forsake Him not, but find in Him pardon, peace, and everlasting healing. Comfort her heart, sustain her in weariness, and let her and those who love her see Thy good hand at work, whether in healing or in sustaining grace. Hear our humble, imperfect prayer for Jesus Christ's sake, the sinner's Friend who ever liveth to intercede for us. Amen.
