Friend salvation

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Praying this unsaved friend will be open for prayers that has vices and getting worse, shared with a good Believer friend to help pray for her soon and she’s open to it. Praise Jesus, amen

We rejoice with you in the name of Jesus Christ that your friend is open to prayer and has a believer interceding on her behalf! This is a powerful step, for the Word tells us, "The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective" (James 5:16 WEB). We join you in lifting her up, believing that the Holy Spirit is already at work in her heart, drawing her to repentance and salvation.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking that You would break every chain of bondage in this precious soul’s life. Lord, we rebuke the vices that have taken hold of her, every addiction, every stronghold, every lie of the enemy that tells her she cannot be free. Your Word declares, "If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36 WEB). We claim that freedom for her now, Lord! Soften her heart to receive Your truth, and let her see the emptiness of the things she has been clinging to compared to the fullness of life in Christ.

We pray that the eyes of her heart would be enlightened to see the depth of Your love for her (Ephesians 1:18). Surround her with believers who will speak life, truth, and encouragement into her situation. Give her the courage to turn away from sin and run into Your arms, for You are faithful to forgive and cleanse from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). May she come to know Jesus not just as a name, but as her Savior, Lord, and Redeemer, the only One who can satisfy the longings of her soul.

Lord, we also pray for wisdom and boldness for the believer who is reaching out to her. Let them be a vessel of Your love, patience, and truth, pointing her to the cross where Jesus paid the price for her freedom. Guard their heart from discouragement, and fill them with Your peace as they stand in the gap for this friend.

We declare over her life that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that the same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in her (Ephesians 1:19-20). May she experience the transforming power of Your Holy Spirit and walk in the newness of life that only You can give.

In Jesus’ name, we pray and believe for a mighty breakthrough. Amen!

Continue to stand in faith, for the harvest is ripe, and the Lord is faithful to complete the good work He has begun (Philippians 1:6). Encourage your friend to read the Word, even if it’s just a few verses a day, for faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17). Share with her the simple truth of the Gospel: that Jesus died for her sins, rose again, and offers eternal life to all who believe in Him (John 3:16). Pray with her, love her unconditionally, and trust that God is working even when you cannot see it. The battle belongs to the Lord!

What a gift that your friend is open to being prayed for, that’s not small, and we’re grateful with you. When someone lets others pray for them, it can be a crack where the light gets in, especially when life feels heavy and vices are tightening their hold. People often find unexpected strength simply in knowing they’re being prayed for, and even more so when someone sits beside them and prays. You and your believing friend have a sacred opportunity here.

We’d encourage you to keep holding her up in your own quiet prayers, and when the three of you are together, don’t feel you need to have the perfect words. A simple, honest prayer, asking Jesus to meet her where she is, to ease what’s hard, and to let his love become real to her, is enough. She doesn’t have to pray herself; just being in that space can plant something lasting. And you can trust that God is at work in her even before she fully understands it.

Our prayer for you and for her, then, is this:

Lord Jesus, we lift this friend to you now. Thank you that her heart is open, however slightly. Meet her in the middle of her struggles, the ones we know and the ones we don’t, and gently draw her toward freedom and toward yourself. Give her friends wisdom, tenderness, and patience as they walk alongside her. We ask all of this in your name, Jesus. Amen.

What a cause for thanksgiving that this dear soul is now open to receive prayer! Let us praise the Lord that her heart, once barred and bolted, has at least cracked open the door to the intercessions of the saints. The friend who shared the gospel and enlisted a fellow believer to pray has done a noble work, for he who brings a sinner to the throne of grace has indeed shown himself friendly, and Christ promises to be such a friend to sinners as the world never saw.

Yet we must not rest merely in the hope of prayer alone. The Scriptures declare, "Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth." This is God's own appointed way: not by works, nor by reformation of vices before coming, but by a single glance of faith upon the crucified Savior. The vices that now grip her soul, growing worse and more foul, are but symptoms of the deeper disease, the enmity of her heart against God. And there is but one Physician for such a plague: Jesus, the Friend of sinners. He is the one who loves at all times, a friend that sticketh closer than a brother, who gave His heart’s blood for the ungodly. Urge her not simply to be prayed for, but to pray herself, crying out from the pit, "God be merciful to me a sinner." The publican's groan is worth more than all the polished liturgies of the self-righteous.

The salvation we press upon her is nothing less than God's own salvation, devised in infinite wisdom, purchased by precious blood, and applied by sovereign grace. It is a free salvation, proclaimed without money and without price. Let her not think she must first cleanse her life to make herself fit for Christ; that were to insult His finished work. The way of salvation is to believe on Christ, to trust Him without question for her present and eternal soul. Faith must be urged upon her, for without it there is no salvation. She is to believe on a Person: not on a creed, not on a feeling, but on the living Lord Jesus Christ, who is able to save to the uttermost all who come unto God by Him.

Therefore, do not cease your prayers, but press the gospel upon her with tenderness and urgency. Tell her plainly that Christ came into the world to save sinners, even the chief. If her vices are many, His grace is superabundant. If she sinks deep in the mire of iniquity, the arm of the Lord is not shortened that it cannot save. The only salvation that can be her own is God's salvation, and He bids her look unto Him now. The look does not require a moment; her soul can breathe a silent cry even now and be saved. Glory be to God for such a rich, free, and instantaneous salvation!

O that the Spirit of God would make this word like a hammer to break the rock in pieces, and like a fire to melt the frozen heart! May she soon find Jesus to be her own Friend and her father's Friend, and may you all rejoice together in the salvation that is of the Lord. To Him be praise forever and ever. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Persist in prayer without ceasing, for the Lord Himself taught us through the widow who prevailed with the unjust judge and the friend who roused his neighbor at midnight not by friendship but by importunity. Do not think you must compose many words or eloquent phrases, but let your heart cry out continually for this soul. The door that seems shut will open to the knock that does not stop.

You have done well to enlist a believing friend to help pray. A genuine friend is more precious than light itself, and there is no greater work than to draw a soul from darkness into salvation. Let that friend love with fervor, even as Paul who would have plunged into hell for his brethren. Pray for her first, before your own needs, and stand with her as one who would give an account for her soul. When we thus love, we leave a grace in the lives we touch, and the places we occupy together become hallowed.

Be not troubled if she stumbles or if the things of God seem foolish to her for a time. It is the mark of those who are perishing to mock what they do not understand, for the word of the cross is foolishness to them. But to us who are being saved it is the power of God. The vices that bind her, the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches, are not stronger than that power. Only do not grow weary or give way to irritation when she resists; remember that we must be ready not only to do good but also to suffer ill for their sake. Let no anger or impatience find a foothold, for prayer lifted up with wrath is a sword turned against yourself.

Yet know this: it is not by your friend’s goodness or your prayers alone that she will be rescued. We need both our own effort and God’s part. Continue to walk alongside her with deeds of love, that she may see a living image of the gospel, but trust ultimately in the High Priest who ever lives to make intercession. He is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through Him, because He always lives to plead for them. He has no successor and His priesthood never ends. As long as there is breath, there is hope.

I know of a just man whose prayer saved his friends from ruin, and I know of a city defended for the sake of one righteous servant. But when the soul hardens itself utterly, even Noah and Samuel cannot deliver it. Therefore take courage from her openness, no matter how small. Press on, and do not prefer a false peace to her salvation. Let your friendship be strong enough to wound for her benefit, as a physician cuts to heal. The time is short, and the reward is eternal.
