Friend Going Down The Wrong Road

One of my dear friends moved out of state yesterday. We hadn't seen each other in 2 ½ years until this April when we got to finally see each other again. They've changed a lot during the years of not seeing them. They don't seem to want to be friends with me anymore but I don't want to give up on our friendship. I really don't want to lose this person as a friend since they mean so much to me. They don't understand that I really care for them. This summer I watched them get into the wrong crowd and get into the wrong things. It'd really mean a lot if you pray for them. I want to see them get back on the right path & that things go better for them, and that they'll turn their faith back to God.

Holy God and loving Father, I consciously place my fears, worries, anxieties, and burdens in your hands. I know that I have so little power to change the outcome of these events and I trust that you will work what is pleasing to you, and best for me, out of these situations. Forgive me for my anxious thoughts and for letting my own worry become an idol that robs you of my full trust. Strengthen and empower me to trust you more by the power and presence of your Spirit.
