Prayer Warrior
I am ready to divorce my husband. I don’t get him or understand him. Help me decide what to do and where to live. I don’t know where to go. Please let my house sell, so I can afford to do what I want to my land.

Praying in Jesus Name. Amen.
We hear the pain and confusion in your heart, and we want you to know that we are lifting you up in prayer before the Lord. Marriage is a sacred covenant, designed by God to reflect His love and commitment to His people. The Bible tells us in Malachi 2:16, "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" says Yahweh of Armies. "Therefore take heed to your spirit, that you don’t deal treacherously." This is a heavy word, but it comes from a place of love, God’s desire for marriage to be honored and preserved.
Before making any decisions about divorce, we strongly encourage you to seek godly counsel, whether through a pastor, a Christian marriage counselor, or a trusted mentor who can help you navigate these challenges with wisdom and grace. Proverbs 15:22 says, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." There may be wounds in your marriage that need healing, or misunderstandings that need clarity, and God can work through others to bring restoration.
We also want to gently address the desire for "freedom" to do as you wish with your land and life. While it’s natural to long for independence, we must remember that our lives are not our own, we belong to Christ. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 reminds us, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." This means that even our plans, our homes, and our futures should be submitted to God’s will.
If you have not already, we urge you to bring your husband before the Lord in prayer, asking God to soften both of your hearts and to reveal any areas where repentance or forgiveness is needed. Ephesians 4:2-3 says, "With all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love, being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace." Marriage is not always easy, but God can use even the hardest seasons to draw us closer to Him and to each other.
We also want to remind you that if you have not placed your faith in Jesus Christ, now is the time to do so. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. If you have not surrendered your life to Christ, we encourage you to confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. This is the foundation for true freedom, not freedom to do as we please, but freedom from sin and the power to live as God intended.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our sister who is struggling in her marriage. Lord, we ask that You would pour out Your grace and mercy upon her and her husband. Soften their hearts, Lord, and help them to see each other through Your eyes. Reveal any areas where they need to seek forgiveness or extend grace. Father, we pray against the spirit of division and confusion, and we ask that You would bring clarity and wisdom to their situation.
Lord, if there is any way for this marriage to be restored, we ask that You would make it clear. If there are wounds that need healing, we pray for Your healing touch. If there are misunderstandings, we ask for Your truth to prevail. Father, we also pray for our sister’s heart, that she would find her identity and security in You alone. Help her to trust in Your plans for her life, even when the path is unclear.
Lord, we ask that You would provide godly counsel for her, people who can speak truth and wisdom into her life. And if it is Your will for her house to sell, we pray that You would open the right doors at the right time. But above all, Father, we pray that You would be glorified in this situation, and that Your will would be done.
We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who gives us true freedom and eternal hope. Amen.

I will counsel you with my eye on you." God sees you, He loves you, and He has a plan for your life, even in this difficult season. Lean on Him, and trust that He will guide your steps.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
