Beloved of All
We have heard your request and we are bringing you and your fiancee before the Lord in prayer.
We understand the heaviness of this time and your desire for freedom. Scripture teaches that the deepest freedom is not simply release from outward bonds, but the freedom Christ gives when He sets us free from sin and its curse. With that freedom we are called to stand fast, to trust Him, and to live in a way that honors Him.
God is able to do all things, and He has shown His power even in prisons. As with Paul and Silas, He can shake foundations and loose chains, and He can also give strength to endure trial with faith and patience. He does not always deliver at once, but teaches us to bear what comes with courage while we trust His perfect will and His justice. Many faithful ones before us have known bonds and imprisonment and found comfort not by escape alone, but by drawing nearer to Christ in the midst of it.
So we pray for you both in this way:
Father in heaven, we lift up this man and his fiancee to You. Have mercy on them according to Your wisdom and justice. If it is Your will, grant lawful and merciful deliverance and keep him from going to jail. Sustain her where she is, protect her, and provide for her needs. Above all, bring each of them to true repentance and saving faith in Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved. Work in their hearts to perfect holiness in the fear of God and to turn from every sin, and to seek purity and faithfulness. If You lead them to marriage, help them to enter it as You designed, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, with all intimacy kept within that covenant, and to build that home on obedience to Your Word. Give them clarity, humility to accept responsibility where it is due, and peace to trust Your good purposes whether deliverance comes quickly or through a longer path. Let them know that whether in freedom or in confinement, they can be truly free in Christ.
We encourage you both to seek the Lord earnestly, to confess sin honestly, to walk in obedience, and to seek wise counsel from a faithful local church and from those who can help you with your legal responsibilities. Continue to cast your cares on Him, to pray, to read His Word, and to do what is good and right before Him and before the authorities He has appointed.
We will continue to pray that God will be merciful to you both and that He will lead you into the freedom and new life that comes only through Christ.
