Beloved of All
Father, I lift up the older daughter. Guide her Lord with the confident to completely release herself from this toxic relationship with this young man with no regrets. Lord, have mercy upon her and open her eyes to see the truth. Remove the blinders, break the stubborn hold and the false sense of obligation and commitment that keeps her bound to this young man and his mother. Show her that this man is not her husband, not her covering, not her everything not her parent, not her financial advisor and not ready for the responsibilities of marriage, and that the burden she carries for him is not hers to bear. Convict her heart to flee sexual immorality, to end the cohabitation outside of marriage, and to return to honoring You first, honoring me her parent, and being grateful for the purposeful work You have given her. Lord, thank You for her promotion and I pray You will protect her workplace from jealousy and disruption, and that she will no longer put this young man and his family before You, her supportive family, her faith, her church home and her job. Guide Lord swiftly to stop idiolizing his young man and his family. Gently guide her back to her church family and to the biblical teachings in which she was raised, and restore her gracious, humble, thankful, and charitable personality. Let her no longer defend what is harmful, but hunger for righteousness. I pray that she will move back home and I pray for a godly spouse for her. Lord, I plead the blood of Jesus over me, my older daughter, my younger daughter, and my son. No weapon formed against us shall prosper. Jesus by Your stripes me and my children relationship are healed. I ask that You saturate our home with the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, which will guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. Remove exhaustion, division, isolation, chaos, and torment, and restore unity, joy, fellowship, freedom and togetherness. Let us be a beacon of Your light everywhere we go and everything we do and let our home be a sanctuary of Your peace, joy and love for everyone who enter, visit or stay here. In Jesus, name, I pray. Amen

We join you in lifting up your older daughter before the Father and we agree with you for her complete freedom and restoration in Jesus' name. We thank God for your discernment as her parent and for your faithful intercession, and we stand with you for the blinders to be removed and the stubborn hold to be broken.

We affirm what you have rightly discerned, that cohabitation outside of marriage and sexual intimacy before marriage is fornication and does not honor God. Scripture is clear that we are to flee sexual immorality, for every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body, 1 Corinthians 6:18, and that marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers, Hebrews 13:4. We also hear your concern that she has placed this young man and his mother and his family in a place that belongs only to God, and that she carries a false sense of obligation and commitment as if this man were her covering, her husband, her parent and her financial advisor. We rebuke that idolatry and that unequal yoking, for we are told do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship has righteousness with iniquity, 2 Corinthians 6:14, and courtship should always be with the goal of godly marriage between a man and a woman who are both believers, looking toward a lifelong covenant that honors Christ. When a young man is not ready for the responsibilities of marriage, not walking as a spiritual leader and not prepared to provide and protect as Christ loves the church, Ephesians 5:25, then that relationship is not of God and the burden she carries for him is not hers to bear. We also affirm your desire for her to honor you as her parent, for children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right, honor your father and mother, Ephesians 6:1-2, and to be grateful for the purposeful work God has given her and for her promotion, and to put God first above any young man.

We pray together now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this precious daughter to You. Open her eyes to see the truth and convict her heart by Your Holy Spirit to flee sexual immorality and to end cohabitation outside of marriage. Break every soul tie, every false obligation and every idol that has taken Your place in her heart. Show her clearly that this young man is not her husband and not her covering, and give her the confidence and holy courage to completely release herself from this toxic relationship with no regrets and no turning back. Lord, draw her gently back to You first, back to her church family and to the biblical teachings in which she was raised. Restore in her a gracious, humble, thankful and charitable spirit, and cause her to hunger and thirst for righteousness, Matthew 5:6, rather than defend what is harmful. Guard her heart, for out of it are the issues of life, Proverbs 4:23, and let Your word be a lamp to her feet and a light to her path, Psalm 119:105. We thank You for her promotion and we ask You to protect her workplace from jealousy, gossip and disruption, and to let her shine as a beacon of Your light there, doing all work heartily as for the Lord, Colossians 3:23. Guide her swiftly to stop idolizing this young man and his family and to put You, her supportive family, her faith, her church home and her calling before them. If it is Your will, make a way for her to move back home where she can be nurtured and restored, and in Your perfect timing provide for her a godly spouse, a man after Your own heart who will honor marriage as You designed it.

We plead the blood of Jesus over you, over your older daughter, your younger daughter and your son, and we agree that no weapon that is formed against you will prevail, Isaiah 54:17, and that by His stripes you are healed, Isaiah 53:5, and that the relationship between you and your children is being healed and restored. We ask You to saturate your home with the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, which will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:7. Remove exhaustion, division, isolation, chaos and torment, and restore unity, joy, fellowship, freedom and togetherness. Let your home be a sanctuary of Your peace, joy and love for everyone who enters, visits or stays there, and let your family be a beacon of Your light in all you do. Cast all your worries on Him, because He cares for you, 1 Peter 5:7, and trust that He who began a good work in your daughter will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ, Philippians 1:6. We thank You Father that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, Ephesians 3:20, and we trust You for her complete deliverance and restoration. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We hear how heavy this has been as you love your older daughter and long for her freedom. Watching someone you raised in faith pull away from family, her church home, and the purposeful work God has given her is exhausting, and we are grateful you brought this so honestly to the Lord. We join you in thanking Him for her promotion and for the gifts you still see in her.

What you named about that false sense of obligation stood out to us, the way she carries a burden that is not hers to bear as if she must be everything for this young man. In healthy relationships there is a kind of property line that helps each person know what is theirs to own and what is not, their choices, responsibilities and time. That line is what keeps love free enough to give a clear yes and a clear no. We are praying she rediscovers that freedom, and we are praying for you too as you discern what is yours to hold and what you can lovingly release to the Lord.

One steady step that helps many parents in this place is to choose one simple, consistent boundary you can keep in love, for example how you will respond when the relationship becomes the whole conversation, and to stay closely connected to a trusted pastor or mature friends in your church so you are not carrying this alone. You do not have to fix this for her to keep loving her well.

Father, we lift this mother, her older daughter, her younger daughter and her son to You in Jesus' name. Saturate their home with Your peace, lift exhaustion and division, and restore unity, joy and fellowship. Give the older daughter clarity to see what is true, protect her at work, and gently draw her back to You and to the people who love her. Guard each heart and guide each next step. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer for your older daughter and for your household has been heard, and we join you before the throne of grace to seek the Lord's deliverance and restoration. Be assured that God's ear is not shut to the cry of a parent who pleads for a child. When we feel bound and fearful, the Lord still hears, and He alone can bring forth His people from bondage. Deliverance from sin is solely by the power of God, it is not of him that wills nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. He has found a ransom, and that ransom is the blood of Jesus Christ shed for sinners.

We agree with you in asking the Lord to open your daughter's eyes and to break every false hold that keeps her bound. Purity, as Scripture teaches, indicates separation, and charity without purity will be of no use. To walk in holiness without which no man shall see the Lord, there must be a turning away from what defiles. We pray that God will convict her heart to flee sexual immorality, to end cohabitation outside of marriage, and to see clearly that this young man is not her husband, not her covering, and not the one to bear the weight of her future. Marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and both sexual union and living together belong within that covenant alone. Any burden she carries that is not hers to bear, any false sense of obligation or commitment that keeps her in bondage to this young man and his family, we ask the Lord to lift and to break. We do not ask God to bless what is outside His holy will, but to grant her the confident grace to release herself from it with no regrets, to stop idolizing any person or family, and to hunger for righteousness instead of defending what is harmful.

There is a higher restoration than mere relief from trouble, and the Gospel holds it out to every backslider. Though one may say, I have defiled myself and my thoughts are impure, the Holy Spirit can create a clean heart and renew a right spirit within. Peter was down, but he was soon up again, restored by a look from the Lord that severed him from the crowd and brought him to repentance. So we pray that the Lord will look upon your daughter in mercy, gently guide her back to the biblical teachings in which she was raised, to her church family, to honoring God first and honoring you her parent, and to grateful stewardship of the purposeful work He has given her. We thank God with you for her promotion and ask Him to protect her workplace from jealousy and disruption, that she would put Christ before all other loyalties. In His time and in His way, we pray He would lead her, if it be His will, to a godly spouse within the holy estate of marriage, but first to be made whole and steadfast in Christ alone.

For you and your younger daughter and your son, we plead the finished work of Christ, for there is salvation through Jesus Christ alone and no other name under heaven by which we are saved. We ask that the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus, as promised in Philippians 4:7, and that no weapon formed against you shall prosper as you abide in Him. May the Lord remove exhaustion, division, isolation, chaos and torment from your home, and restore unity, joy, fellowship, freedom and togetherness. May He saturate your home and make it a sanctuary of His peace, joy and love, a beacon of His light to all who enter, visit or stay there, that after affliction you may live and declare the works of the Lord. We pray that He who brought Israel forth with silver and gold will attend your deliverance with enrichment, returning to your daughter her gracious, humble, thankful and charitable spirit, and to your whole family a deeper gratitude and a more jubilant song for the greater salvation wrought by Christ. In Jesus name, Amen.
