Freedom and Protection

Please pray that the Lord would open my older daughter's eyes to the truth of His Word and break the stubbornness that has taken root in her heart. Remove the hold this young man and his family have over her, and reveal the toxicity of this relationship. Father, frustrate every plan of theirs to isolate and destroy her and our family relationship. Turn her heart back to You and to those who love her unconditionally (Malachi 4:6). May she rediscover her worth in Christ and reject the lies that have been spoken over her by this young man and his family. Lead her away from this unhealthy environment and guide her back to a place of safety, stability, and wisdom. I lift up the young man’s mother, who has overstepped her bounds and placed undue burdens on my daughter and also trying to take her parent place. I pray that she would be convicted of her manipulation and pride, and that she would take responsibility for her own son rather than placing that burden on my daughter. Father, remove the pride, manipulation, and harmful words that have made my family feel small and ashamed. Let my daughter see her worth through Your eyes, not through the eyes of this woman. Grant my daughter the wisdom and courage to resist his mother's plots, schemes to cause division in our family. She is using my daughter as a protection to keep her family together because this young man is rebellious toward his dad's rules. Teach my daughter again to love and honor our family You have blessed her with and to reject the lies that she must please this woman to be accepted. I rebuke the rebellious, divisive, and isolating habits that are creating in her toward her family and friends. Jesus, it is hard to see my child who loves the Lord going down this dark path. Jesus, I pray that this young man's mother will focus on her children and stop enabling her son to manipulate, control, and exploit my daughter's finances for his benefit. I pray that she will get health insurance for herself and stop letting these people continue taking her down this dark path. Jesus, I ask for You to intervene and release my daughter completely from this toxic relationship. Jesus, guide my daughter when she walks into our home to not bring in the hostility and hate that stem from this young man and his mother. Teach her, Jesus, living together outside of marriage does not equal marriage, control does not equal love, obsession does not equal safety, and for her to honor her parents. Teach my daughter Lord to stop idolizing the controlling young man and his manipulating mother. I pray his dad will step forward and stop the dishonest path of his son and have him move back home with them alone so they can help him. He is not ready for a relationship. Let my daughter be truthful about the toxicity of this relationship. Jesus, teach my daughter to follow Your teachings again and for her to respect, honor, and be thankful for her family again. I am sorry Lord, I feel so much spiritual attack stemming from this relationship toward my daughter and our family. Jesus, I know You have the power to release her and set her free. Jesus, saturate us with Your peace and joy again. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

We stand with you in deep concern and fervent prayer for your daughter, lifting her up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts. The pain of watching a beloved child stray from truth and into the snares of manipulation is profound, and we grieve with you over the spiritual attack that has taken root in your family. But we do not lose heart, for the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Your cry for her freedom and protection is heard, and we join you in declaring God’s authority over every scheme of the enemy.

First, we must address the seriousness of the situation with biblical clarity. The relationship your daughter is entangled in is not only unhealthy but also spiritually dangerous. The Word of God warns us that bad company corrupts good character (1 Corinthians 15:33), and the influence of this young man and his family is leading her away from godly wisdom and into rebellion. The fact that they are living together outside of marriage is a direct violation of Scripture, which states, *"Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers"* (Hebrews 13:4). Fornication is sin, and it opens the door to spiritual oppression, deception, and bondage. We rebuke this ungodly union in the name of Jesus and command every unholy soul tie to be broken between your daughter and this young man.

The manipulation and control exerted by this young man’s mother are equally alarming. Scripture is clear that parents are to raise their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4), not enable sin or place undue burdens on others. This woman has overstepped her bounds, and her pride and manipulation are tools of the enemy to divide and destroy. We declare that her schemes will not prosper, and we pray for conviction to fall upon her heart. May she repent of her sin and take responsibility for her own household, as the Lord commands (1 Timothy 5:8).

Your daughter’s rebellion against your family and her idolization of this young man and his mother are symptoms of a deeper spiritual issue. The enemy has whispered lies into her heart, convincing her that this relationship is love, safety, or even her purpose. But the Word of God tells us, *"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding"* (Proverbs 9:10). We pray that her eyes would be opened to the truth—that true love is patient, kind, and does not seek its own (1 Corinthians 13:4-5), while control, manipulation, and obsession are counterfeits of the enemy. We rebuke every lie that has been spoken over her and command the spirit of rebellion to be broken in Jesus’ name.

We also lift up the young man’s father, who must step into his God-given role as the head of his household. Scripture commands fathers not to provoke their children to anger but to bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). His son’s rebellion is a reflection of a lack of godly leadership, and we pray that he would rise up, enforce boundaries, and require his son to take responsibility for his actions. This young man is not ready for a relationship, and his behavior is a stumbling block to your daughter’s faith. We pray that he would be convicted of his sin and turn back to the Lord.

Father, we come before You with boldness, knowing that You are able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). We ask You to intervene in this situation with Your mighty hand. Frustrate every plan of the enemy to isolate your daughter and destroy your family. Break the stubbornness in her heart and remove the hold this young man and his family have over her. Let her see the toxicity of this relationship with clarity, and give her the courage to walk away. We declare that she will rediscover her worth in Christ, for she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and her identity is found in You alone.

Lord, we pray for a spirit of repentance to fall upon your daughter. May she turn her heart back to You and to the family You have blessed her with. Teach her to honor her parents, as Your Word commands (Exodus 20:12), and to reject the lies that she must please this woman to be accepted. We rebuke the spirit of division and isolation that has taken root in her heart and declare that she will be restored to her family and to the body of Christ.

We also pray for your family, Lord. The spiritual attack you are feeling is real, and we stand against it in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against you will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we ask You to saturate your home with Your peace and joy once again. Strengthen your family to stand firm in faith, to love your daughter unconditionally, and to trust in Your perfect timing.

Heavenly Father, we know that You are a God who sets the captives free (Luke 4:18). We ask You to release your daughter from this toxic relationship completely. Break every chain of manipulation, control, and fear. Let her walk in the freedom that is found only in Christ. We pray that she would be truthful about the toxicity of this relationship and that she would turn away from it with wisdom and discernment.

Lord, we ask that You would guide your daughter back to a place of safety, stability, and wisdom. Surround her with godly influences who will speak truth into her life and encourage her in her faith. Let her see the love of Christ in her family and in the body of believers, and may she be drawn back to You with all her heart.
