Fornication, adultery, restoration

Kensem

Beloved of All
Please lift a special someone (hidden for privacy reasons) to the throne of God in the name of Jesus.
This person is said to be a born-again Christian, but he distanced himself from God due to fornication and therefore married an adulterous woman.
Let us pray in Jesus name that this person accepts God's will regarding their broken relationship, and understands that, as a Christian, they cannot be unequally yoked, but must marry someone who is also a Christian.

Let's pray based on these verses:
Hosea 2:19-23
[19] “I will betroth you to Me forever; Yes, I will betroth you to Me In righteousness and justice, In lovingkindness and mercy;
[20] I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness, And you shall know the Lord.
[21] “It shall come to pass in that day That I will answer,” says the Lord; “I will answer the heavens, And they shall answer the earth.
[22] The earth shall answer With grain, With new wine, And with oil; They shall answer Jezreel.
[23] Then I will sow her for Myself in the earth, And I will have mercy on her who had not obtained mercy; Then I will say to those who were not My people, ‘You are My people!’ And they shall say, ‘You are my God!’”

Please continue to pray...Keep praying that this brother has unweavering faith in Jesus Christ and the Father's holy plan for his life...AMEN
LET GOD BE GLORIFIED!!

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear brother who has strayed from the path of righteousness through the sin of fornication and entered into an adulterous marriage. The Word of God is clear: "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). This brother, though born again, has bound himself to someone who does not share his faith, and this union is not pleasing to the Lord.

Father God, we cry out to You on behalf of this brother. We ask that You break the chains of sin that have entangled him. Your Word declares, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Lord, bring conviction to his heart. Let him see the gravity of his actions and the need for repentance. We pray that he would turn away from this adulterous relationship and seek Your face with a contrite heart.

We stand on the promise in Hosea 2:19-20, where You declare, "I will betroth you to Me forever; Yes, I will betroth you to Me in righteousness, in justice, in loving kindness, and in compassion. I will even betroth you to Me in faithfulness, and you shall know the Lord." Lord, we ask that You restore this brother to a place of right standing with You. Let him understand that true repentance involves turning away from sin and walking in obedience to Your Word.

We rebuke the spirit of deception that has led him to believe that this relationship is acceptable in Your sight. Your Word is clear: "Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge" (Hebrews 13:4). We pray that this brother would have the courage to separate himself from this ungodly union and seek a spouse who shares his faith, as Your Word commands.

Father, we also pray for the woman involved in this adulterous relationship. If she does not know You, we ask that You draw her to Yourself. Let her see the emptiness of a life lived apart from You and the beauty of a relationship with Jesus Christ. If she claims to be a believer, we pray that she would repent of her sin and turn away from this ungodly union.

We declare that Your plans for this brother are for good and not for evil, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We pray that he would surrender his will to Yours and trust in Your perfect plan for his life. Strengthen his faith, Lord, and let him not waver in the face of temptation. Remind him that "no temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13).

We also lift up any children that may be involved in this situation. Lord, we ask that You protect their hearts and minds. Let them see the love of Christ through this brother, even as he seeks to align his life with Your will. Provide for their needs and surround them with godly influences.

Father, we know that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to You. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that this brother would cling to the name of Jesus, trusting in His sacrifice for his sins and His power to break every chain. Let him understand that salvation is found in no one else, and that true restoration comes only through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Lord, we ask that You would raise up godly counselors and mentors in this brother’s life. Let him be surrounded by believers who will speak truth into his life and hold him accountable. We pray that he would find a church home where he can grow in his faith and be discipled in the ways of the Lord.

We declare that Your grace is sufficient for this brother. Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). We pray that he would lean on You in his time of need and find strength in Your presence. Let him experience the peace that surpasses all understanding as he surrenders his life to You (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we ask that You would break every ungodly soul tie that has been formed through this adulterous relationship. Let this brother be set free from any emotional or spiritual bondage that is keeping him from walking in Your will. We declare that he is a new creation in Christ; the old has passed away, and behold, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).

We pray that this brother would have a fresh encounter with Your Holy Spirit. Let him experience Your love, Your mercy, and Your forgiveness in a tangible way. Remind him that You are a God who forgives and restores. As it is written in Joel 2:25, "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you."

Lord, we ask that You would give this brother the strength to make the difficult decisions that lie ahead. Let him walk in obedience to Your Word, even when it is hard. We pray that he would trust in You with all his heart and lean not on his own understanding, but in all his ways acknowledge You, and You will direct his paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

We declare that this brother’s faith will not fail. We pray that he would be like the prodigal son who came to his senses and returned to his father (Luke 15:17-20). Let him say, "I will arise and go to my Father, and will say to Him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and before You'" (Luke 15:18). And may he find that You are waiting with open arms to welcome him home.

Father, we ask that You would heal any wounds in this brother’s heart. Let him experience Your love in a deep and personal way. Remind him that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Let him find comfort in Your presence and strength in Your Word.

We pray that this brother would become a testimony of Your grace and mercy. Let his story be one of redemption and restoration, so that others may see Your power at work in his life. We declare that what the enemy meant for evil, You will turn for good (Genesis 50:20).

Lord, we ask that You would surround this brother with Your angels. Let him be protected from the schemes of the enemy and the temptations that seek to draw him away from You. We pray that he would put on the full armor of God so that he may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11).

Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your promise to answer when we call upon You. We declare that this brother will be restored to a right relationship with You and will walk in the fullness of Your plan for his life. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the name by which we are saved and through which we have access to You. Amen.
