Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus' name based on this verse.
Luke 9:24 states: "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." (ESV)
Please pray that the landlord will give his life to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it.

Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the former landlord on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.
We thank you for your love and faithfulness.
Amen

Please also pray that he can hear God's voice concerning His holy plan for his life

Please pray he takes responsibility and stops robbing us

We join with you in prayer in the mighty name of Jesus for your former landlord, and we agree with you on the truth of that powerful verse, for Luke 9:24 says, For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it.

We love your heart to pray for his salvation rather than only for justice in the rented apartment situation. This is the heart of Christ. We are called to love our enemies and pray for those who mistreat us as Matthew 5:44 says, But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. God desires that none should perish but that all would come to repentance, for 1 Timothy 2:4 says God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, and Acts 4:12 reminds us, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.

We also hear your concern that he has been robbing you and not taking responsibility. Scripture is clear that God calls us to deal honestly and justly with one another. Leviticus 19:13 says, You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him, and when true repentance comes, it bears fruit in restitution as Zacchaeus declared in Luke 19:8, Behold, Lord, half of my goods I give to the poor. If I have wrongfully exacted anything of anyone, I restore four times as much. We pray that if wrong has been done, the Lord will convict his heart to make it right, and we encourage you to continue to pursue what is right and lawful with integrity while leaving vengeance to the Lord, for Romans 12:19 says, Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.

We agree with you that Jesus reigns over all darkness and His light expels it, for Colossians 1:13 says He delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love, and John 1:5 says The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn't overcome it. We pray for his deliverance from any darkness or deception that would keep him from hearing God.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. We lift up this former landlord to You. Lord, we ask that You soften his heart and open his eyes to see his need for a Savior. Grant him repentance and faith to lose his life for Jesus sake so that he may truly save it. Take away his heart of stone and give him a new heart as You promised in Ezekiel 36:26, I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. We pray that he will confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that You raised Him from the dead, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Lord, we pray that he will hear Your voice, for Jesus said in John 10:27, My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. Draw him by Your Holy Spirit, reveal Your holy plan for his life, and guide him on his journey. Heal any brokenness in him and lead him into truth and righteousness. We also ask for conviction where there has been dishonesty or theft, that he would take responsibility, speak the truth, and make restitution where it is owed. Let Your justice and Your mercy meet in this situation.

We also pray for those who were affected by this rented apartment situation, that You would guard their hearts from bitterness, fill them with Your peace, and provide for every need according to Your riches in glory. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven us, and to trust You as their defender and provider. We thank You for Your love and faithfulness, for Your power that no one can withstand, and for the victory we have in Christ. We declare that You are working even now for good and for Your glory. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We appreciate you bringing this landlord situation to us so honestly. Caring that he would come to know Jesus even while you have been hurt by what happened in that apartment shows a gracious heart, and we join you in that desire.

We also hear how heavy it has been to feel robbed and to still carry the loss. It is understandable to hold both things at once, a sincere hope for his good and a need for what is right and fair to be addressed.

It can help to keep those two things distinct in your own heart. Choosing to release resentment before the Lord is not the same as saying the wrong did not matter or that responsibility is not needed. You can seek a just resolution in a calm way while still entrusting him to God.

One steady next step that often helps with former landlord disputes is to keep a simple, clear record of what you believe is owed, with dates and any messages or receipts, and to bring it to a wise third party for counsel, such as a pastor or mentor alongside a local housing advice or legal aid resource in your area. That way you are not carrying it alone and any conversation about restitution can stay orderly and peaceful.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift this former landlord to You and ask that You draw him to Yourself, open his heart to hear Your voice and to follow Your plan for his life. Where wrong has been done, bring conviction and a willingness to take responsibility and make things right. For our friend, we ask for wisdom, peace and provision as this is worked through, and for protection from bitterness. May Your will be done in both lives. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your cry and we join you in bringing this former landlord before the throne of grace, pleading the promise of our Lord in Luke 9:24, that whosoever will lose his life for Christ's sake shall save it.

It is well you have brought this verse, for it shows the only way of salvation. A man would save his life by holding all for himself, his goods, his gain, his unjust dealings, and in so doing he loses all. But he who loses his life for Jesus, yielding himself wholly to Him, confesses his sin and trusts alone in the substitute, shall save it unto life eternal. There is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved, but Jesus Christ alone.

Remember also that the house in which we dwell has God for its Landlord and we are only tenants. Your former landlord, though he held earthly title for a season, is himself but a tenant under the Great Landlord, who has at all times the right to enter and to call His tenants to account. The rent which the Great Landlord requires is not silver and gold, but a heart that blesses the Lord at all times, whose praise is continually in the mouth, and a life offered up as the key of the house returned into His sovereign hands. We pray that this man may come to see himself as a tenant on sufferance, and may offer that key to Christ, acknowledging his need and his sin.

We pray thus for him. O Lord Jesus, who reignest over darkness and whose light expelleth all darkness, look in mercy upon this man. Thou art slow to anger, Thy lictor carrieth his axe bound up in rods, for Thou reprovest before Thou cuttest off, that men may repent. Be slow to anger toward him yet, and in Thy longsuffering grant him repentance unto life. Open his ears that he may hear Thy voice concerning Thy holy plan for his life, for faith cometh by hearing. Take away the deafness of his heart, and cause him to hear not only Thy threatenings against sin but Thy gracious promise to the repenting sinner.

We pray that Divine Justice, which once stood against us all, may be satisfied for him in the blood of Thy cross. Let him see that Justice has punished all his sins in his Substitute, Jesus, whose head and garments were bloody in Gethsemane and whose bones were dislocated upon the tree. Show him that Justice once satisfied will not ask for more, and that God can be just and yet the justifier of him that believeth in Jesus. Bring him to smite upon his breast and say with a convinced sinner, O sinner that I am, and to flee to Christ that he may be forgiven according to Thy faithful promise.

And as Justice is satisfied in Christ, so let justice be wrought in his conscience and conduct. Convict him where he hath taken what is not his own, and grant him grace to take responsibility, to cease from robbing and to make restitution as Zacchaeus did when salvation came to his house. Let no man be able to withstand Thy mighty power to change the heart, and let all who see it give glory to Thy Greatness. We ask not for vengeance, but for righteousness, that he may walk honestly before God and man.

For yourself, rest in this, that the Lord will not at all acquit the wicked who remain impenitent, yet He delights to pardon the penitent through the vindication of His justice at Calvary. Continue to commit your cause to Him who judgeth righteously, and to pray for the soul of him who hath wronged you, that in losing his life to Christ he may save it.

We commend you and him to the mercy and grace of our faithful Lord, trusting that He will do what is just and what is merciful, to the praise of His glory. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in bringing this matter before the Lord Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved, and we pray with you according to His word.

The Lord said, whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for Him will save it. We pray in Jesus name that your former landlord will hear this word and respond to it. We ask that God in His mercy will open his eyes to see his need for Christ, that he will turn from trusting in himself and give his whole life to Jesus, confessing Him as Lord, so that he will not lose his life but save it through faith in Him alone. We pray that he will hear God's voice and come to know God's holy plan for his life, which begins with repentance and new life in Christ.

We also bring before God the wrong you have described. Scripture teaches that justice matters to God, and that He has established justice even in this present world as a witness to His own righteousness. Injustice is not judged only by the size of what is taken but by the intention of the heart. To take what belongs to another by deceit, by manipulation in contracts or in buying and selling, by withholding what is owed or by corrupting what is just, is robbery before God, whether it is done by violence or by quiet deceit. We pray that your former landlord will be convicted of this truth, that he will take responsibility for what he has done, and that he will stop robbing you and make what is right.

We ask that God will mingle mercy with justice in this situation. We pray that He will lead this man to repentance, to honesty, and to restitution where it is due, and that He will guide him into a life of self restraint and righteousness. We pray also for you, that God will guard your heart from bitterness, that He will provide for your needs, that He will give you wisdom and peace as you seek what is just in a right way, and that you will trust His courts above all, knowing that He sees and He will judge with perfect righteousness.

We thank God for His love and faithfulness, and we ask that His light will expel all darkness and that all involved will see His greatness and power. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone saves, and who calls every person to lose his life for His sake to find true life. Amen.

Your request reflects a sincere faith in the power of Jesus to bring light into darkness and to save a life that is lost. Luke 9:24 speaks directly to this, that anyone who tries to hold on to his life on his own terms will lose it, but anyone who surrenders his life for the sake of Jesus will find true and everlasting life. That is the heart of the gospel, that salvation comes only through giving ourselves fully to Jesus Christ.

We join you in prayer for this former landlord. Father, in the name of Jesus we ask for Your mercy and grace upon this man. We pray that You would open his heart to hear Your voice and to understand Your holy plan for his life. By Your Spirit, show him that he cannot save himself, and draw him to surrender his life to Jesus so that he may truly be saved. Let Your light expel all darkness and let him see Your greatness and power, not to withstand You but to bow before You in repentance and faith.

We also pray that he will take responsibility before You and before others for what he has done. Scripture teaches that when a person has taken what belongs to another, God requires restitution, to make full restoration for what was taken. This is an awesome responsibility that should humble a person, not make him proud, as he realizes his life and his choices are before a holy God who will judge righteously. We pray that this man will stop taking what is not his and will do what is right to restore what he has taken, as a fruit of a changed heart.

Our responsibility as believers is to warn and to witness to the truth of Jesus, to share the gospel faithfully and to pray. What a person does with that warning and that witness is then his own responsibility before God. We cannot force his response. We have discharged our part by bringing him before the Lord in prayer, and now we entrust him to God who holds every person accountable for the light he has received.

May the Lord also bring you peace as you wait on Him, and may He guard you from bitterness while you trust Him to work in this situation for His glory. We thank God for His love and faithfulness, and we trust that as this man hears the gospel, God will work in his heart to bring conviction, repentance, and new life in Christ. Amen.
