Luke 9:24 states: "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." (ESV)
Please pray that the landlord will give his life to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it.

Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the former landlord on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.
We thank you for your love and faithfulness.

We join with you in praying for your former landlord and we are encouraged by your heart to seek his salvation and to intercede for him in the name of our Lord Jesus. You have chosen a powerful truth from scripture, Luke 9:24 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it. This verse reveals the heart of the gospel, that true life is not found in holding tightly to ourselves but in surrendering fully to Jesus.

We also hear your declaration that our Lord Jesus reigns over darkness and that His light expels all darkness and unclean spirits, and we agree together that there is no power that can withstand Him. We lift up this rented apartment situation to the Father and ask for His mercy and grace to abound, not only for resolution and peace in the practical matters, but most importantly for the eternal soul of this man. Our desire is that he would come to know the greatness and power of God not as judgment, but as salvation.

Scripture tells us that God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:4, and that He is patient, not wanting anyone to perish but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9. We pray that the former landlord would hear the voice of the Good Shepherd, for Jesus said My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me, John 10:27, and that he would recognize God's holy plan for his life, for we know the thoughts that God thinks toward us are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give hope and a future, Jeremiah 29:11.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to You, and there is salvation in no one else, Acts 4:12. We thank You for Your love and faithfulness that endures forever. We ask that You would open the eyes and heart of this former landlord, that he would see his need for a Savior and that he would lose his life for Jesus' sake so that he may truly save it. Draw him by Your Holy Spirit, remove any blindness or darkness, and let Your light shine into his heart. Give him ears to hear Your voice concerning Your holy plan for his life, and grant him the humility to surrender to Your will. We declare Your victory and Your healing power over this situation and over his journey, and we ask that everyone involved would see Your greatness and power and give You glory. We forgive as You have forgiven us and we release any bitterness, trusting You to bring justice and peace in Your perfect timing, Romans 12:21. We ask this all in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, who died and rose again that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life, John 3:16. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray for him with love and to let your light shine before him, that he may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven, Matthew 5:16. Keep interceding and keep trusting that God's Word will not return void, Isaiah 55:11, and that He is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to Him through Jesus.

Father, we lift this man to You in Jesus' name. We ask for Your mercy to reach him, for Your Spirit to draw him to Jesus and give him new life. Open his heart to hear Your voice and to understand Your good plan for him. Guide his steps and bring people across his path who will reflect Your love and truth. Give our friend peace as he trusts You with this. Amen.

We join you in prayer for this former landlord, taking up the very word you have laid before the Lord, that whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for Christ will save it.

We pray that the truth of God's salvation may operate powerfully upon his mind and prove itself real to him. If a man has not seen his own sinnership, the salvation of Christ has no truth to him, but where there is a real sense of the Fall, there the heart is made ready for a real Atonement. We ask the Lord to show this man his need, and then to show him Christ who is Himself God's Salvation. Wherever our eyes spiritually light upon the Christ of God, there we see God's salvation, not a temporary work that fades, but a permanent salvation which is Divine from top to bottom, God's in the beginning, God's in the carrying on and God's in the concluding. May his eyes be opened to see that blessed doctrine of substitution, that simple command, Believe and live, and trusting in Him who was laid in Zion for a foundation, may he find a real pardon and know that he is really forgiven.

We are reminded that the house in which we dwell in this life has God for its Landlord, and that we are only tenants. Our breath is in our nostrils, but He keeps it there, and we owe the continued possession of our existence every day to Him. There is a clause in the lease that the Landlord has at all times the right to enter and to call for His own property, and every tenant must prepare to meet his God. We pray that this man may hear the inward monitor and the still small voice, and may offer the key of his house to the Great Landlord, acknowledging that he lives on sufferance as His tenant, and yielding his whole life to the One who alone can save it.

We pray also as you have asked, that he may hear God's voice concerning His holy plan for his life. The mere letter of the Word alone will kill, but when we put our ear down to the promises of Scripture till we hear God speaking through them to our soul, then the Word has power. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. May the Lord help him to take heed how he hears, to come to the Gospel as God's voice to us, to be warned by its threats, cheered by its promises and comforted by every good Word of the Lord, so that feeling the power of the Word it may be life and salvation to him. The saints know the voice of their Shepherd, and a stranger they will not follow. May he be led by the Spirit to discern that voice and to follow on, charmed to confess it divine.

So we pray, Lord Jesus, who reigns over the darkness and whose light expels all darkness, look in mercy upon this man. By Your mighty power, which none can withstand, deliver him from unclean darkness and bring him effectually forth as You brought forth Your people of old, not by their strength but by Your grace. Let him lose his life for Your sake, that he may truly save it. Draw him, that he may follow You, and grant him to hear Your voice and to walk in Your way, according to Your Ten Commandments and Your holy will. We ask Your mercy and grace upon him, trusting Your love and faithfulness, and we ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, the only Saviour, in whom alone is salvation. Amen.

We join you in bringing this former landlord before the Lord in prayer, and we thank you for standing on the truth of Scripture in love for him.

The verse you shared is at the heart of the gospel. As it is written, whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for Jesus will save it. True life is found only when a person surrenders himself to Jesus Christ, for salvation is through Him alone and His death is the salvation of the world. There is no other way to be saved except by trusting in Him.

We pray together for this man that today he would hear the voice of the Lord and respond. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God, and the Scriptures teach us that now is the acceptable time and now is the day of salvation. We ask that God in His mercy would open this landlord's heart to hear the teaching of Christ clearly, to understand his need for a Savior, and to turn from trusting in himself to trusting fully in Jesus. We pray that he would lose his life for Christ's sake in repentance and faith, and so save it for eternity.

We also pray that he would continue to hear God's voice through His Word and follow His holy plan for his life, growing in careful hearing and continual remembrance of the Word, and walking in the new life Christ gives.

Lord Jesus, we thank You that You reign and Your light overcomes darkness. We ask for Your mercy and grace upon this former landlord. Draw him to Yourself, grant him repentance and faith, forgive his sins, and make him a new creation in You. Guide him by Your Spirit and Your Word into the life You have prepared for him. We also ask for Your peace and wisdom over this rented apartment situation, that Your will would be done and Your name would be honored.
