Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have been lifting you up as you shared about your lifelong struggle with forgiveness and how God has been working on your heart in this area for the past year. We have been praying especially for your perseverance when you try to walk in forgiveness and the response from that person and possibly others has been even more difficult behavior toward you.
We understand the tension you expressed in wanting to pray for that person to be removed from your life while also feeling uncertain about whether that is the right thing to pray. We have been asking God to give you wisdom and discernment in that situation, to show you how to set healthy and biblical boundaries while still walking in the forgiveness He calls us to. We are praying that He will soften hearts, bring healing where there has been hurt, and help you to continue to forgive as the Lord forgave you as we are reminded in Col 3:13 and Eph 4:32, and to love even when it is difficult as Jesus taught in Matt 5:44.
We pray together now for you, Father we lift our brother or sister to You and ask for strength to persevere in forgiveness not by our own power but by Your grace. Give clarity and peace about every relationship that causes pain and let Your will be done in each one. Help our friend to keep seeking You and to find freedom in obedience to You. We pray this in Jesus Name.
If your request was answered and you have seen growth in forgiveness or peace in that difficult relationship, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered and you are still struggling to persevere, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
