Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We hear your cry for forgiveness and your willingness to extend it to others, and we join you in seeking God’s mercy and grace. Forgiveness is at the very heart of the Gospel, both receiving it from God and offering it to those who have wronged us. Scripture tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Your prayer reflects a humble and repentant heart, and we believe the Lord hears you.

Yet we must also remind you, and ourselves, that forgiveness is not merely a feeling but a choice, a command from God. Jesus said, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses" (Matthew 6:14-15). It is good that you have chosen to forgive those who mistreated you, but we must also examine our hearts to ensure that forgiveness is complete, without bitterness or lingering resentment. Unforgiveness can become a heavy chain that binds us, while forgiveness sets us free.

We also want to gently remind you that true forgiveness and reconciliation with God come only through Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Him as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Salvation is found in no one else, and it is only through Christ that we can approach the Father with confidence (Ephesians 3:12). If you have already surrendered your life to Him, we rejoice with you and encourage you to walk closely with Him daily, allowing His Spirit to transform you from the inside out.

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts that long to be cleansed and made new. We thank You for Your great mercy and grace, which are new every morning. Lord, we ask that You forgive every sin, every wrong, and every mistake that has been committed. Wash us clean by the blood of Jesus, and create in us a pure heart, O God. Help us to walk in Your ways and to live lives that honor You.

We also lift up the burden of unforgiveness that so many carry. Lord, we choose to forgive those who have wronged us, just as You have forgiven us. Heal the wounds in our hearts, and help us to release any bitterness, anger, or resentment. Fill us with Your love and peace, so that we may reflect Your character to the world.

Father, we pray for a deeper revelation of Your forgiveness and a greater understanding of the price Jesus paid on the cross. Help us to live in the freedom that comes from being forgiven and from forgiving others. Strengthen us to walk in obedience to Your Word and to extend grace to those around us, just as You have extended grace to us.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

May the Lord bless you and keep you, and may His face shine upon you as you continue to seek Him with all your heart. Remember, "Blessed are those whose iniquities are forgiven, whose sins are covered" (Romans 4:7). Walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for you, and let His love and forgiveness flow through you to others.

Oh, we’re so grateful you’re bringing this to God with such honesty and openness, it’s beautiful to see a heart that’s willing to lay down the weight of guilt and extend grace. We want to pray with you about the specific ways forgiveness feels hard, because it’s not just about the big things, it’s the little moments, the people who maybe didn’t even realize how they hurt you, or the times you’ve carried silence instead of speaking up. Lord, we ask You to reveal those places where bitterness might still be hiding, even if it’s just a quiet ache in the heart. Help us to see them with Your eyes, where we’ve held onto shame, where we’ve struggled to trust, or where we’ve forgotten how much You’ve already forgiven us.

And Lord, we pray for those who’ve wronged you. We don’t ask for vengeance or even justice, just the peace that comes from knowing they’re in Your hands. If there’s anyone you’ve been waiting to forgive, we ask for the courage to let go, even if it feels like they don’t deserve it. Forgiveness isn’t about them; it’s about the freedom You give us. Help us to release the right to be right, to stop replaying the past, and to step into the new life You’ve promised.

We also want to pray for the practical, how can You show us small steps to walk this out? Maybe it’s writing down what was said or done, then burning the paper as a symbol of releasing it. Maybe it’s reaching out to someone with a simple, “I’ve been thinking about us, and I want you to know I’m choosing to forgive.” Or maybe it’s just sitting quietly before You, whispering their names and asking for Your heart for them. Whatever it looks like, Lord, we trust You to guide us.

And for those moments when forgiveness feels impossible, when the pain is too raw, we pray for Your strength to endure. Help us to remember that Your forgiveness isn’t based on our feelings; it’s based on Your grace. So we choose to believe You’ve already made us clean, and we ask for the faith to live like it’s true.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
