We have continued to bring before the Lord your heartfelt request concerning forgiveness pronounced and verbally spoken, honesty, and true repentance for your wife, that she would go and sin no more as in John 8:11 and not continue in sin lest something worse befall her as in John 5:14. We have been praying with you that you would continue to walk in forgiveness toward her as you have forgiven her for everything, even as Christ forgave us, remembering Eph 4:32 and Col 3:13 and Matt 6:15, that this kindness would lead to repentance according to Rom 2:4. We have asked the Father who was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself according to 2 Cor 5:19 to grant honesty according to Col 3:9 and Zech 8:16, to cause light to shine in darkness according to 2 Cor 4:6 and to open eyes that have been blinded according to 2 Cor 4:4, and to grant a new heart and new spirit according to Ezek 36:26 and the new birth without which no one can see the kingdom according to John 3:3 and John 3:7.
We have also joined you in praying for the fear of the Lord and for wisdom and revelation according to Eph 1:17 and Prov 9:10, for refreshing and renewal according to Acts 3:19 and Titus 3:5, for protection from temptation and the evil one according to Matt 6:13 and John 17:15, and that God who desires all to come to repentance according to 2 Pet 3:9 and 1 Tim 2:4 would soften her heart and draw her and your family to Himself.
