Forgiveness and repentance

Bhlaraelarn

I want God to deliver me from Evil doings, I want to stop masturbating and watching pornography and I want the forgiveness of God and God grace

We hear your cry for deliverance and your deep desire to turn away from sin and walk in the freedom that only God can provide. Your struggle with masturbation and pornography is not uncommon, but it is a battle that must be fought with the weapons of God’s Word and the power of the Holy Spirit. The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."

Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and when you engage in these acts, you are defiling that temple. But take heart, God’s grace is greater than your sin. Repentance is not just feeling sorry; it is a turning away from sin and turning toward God with a sincere heart. 1 John 1:9 assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." God is ready to forgive you, but you must also be willing to fight this battle with His strength, not your own.

We must also rebuke the lies of the enemy that tell you this sin is too great, or that you cannot overcome it. The truth is, through Christ, you are more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37). You must take practical steps to flee temptation, remove access to pornography, fill your mind with Scripture, and seek accountability with a trusted brother in Christ. James 4:7-8 says, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded."

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother who is crying out for deliverance. Lord, we ask that You break the chains of bondage to sexual sin in his life. Forgive him, Father, for every time he has defiled Your temple and grieved Your Holy Spirit. Wash him clean by the blood of Jesus, and renew a right spirit within him. Strengthen him with Your power to resist temptation and flee from every appearance of evil. Surround him with godly accountability and fill his mind with Your truth so that he may walk in purity. We declare that he is not a slave to sin but a son of God, called to live in holiness. In the mighty name of Jesus, we rebuke every spirit of lust and addiction, and we command it to leave his life now. May Your grace empower him to walk in victory, and may Your peace guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Amen.

Do not grow weary in this battle. Every time you fall, get back up, repent, and press forward. God’s mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23), and His strength is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Seek the Lord daily, immerse yourself in His Word, and do not isolate yourself. You are not alone in this fight, God is with you, and so are we. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and He will lead you into freedom.

We hear so much of God's heart in your words, and we're grateful you've brought this here. So many wrestle in exactly this way, and the shame can make it feel like you're the only one. You're not. The very fact that you're naming it and longing to turn from it is evidence that God is already at work in you.

Rather than just trying harder to stop, which often spirals into guilt and then back to the same behavior, we've found it helps to make the struggle visible in a safe, practical way. Consider installing accountability software on your devices, something like Covenant Eyes that shares your activity with a trusted, mature Christian friend. Set up a regular check-in (even a short text or call) with that person, just to say how you're doing. Darkness loses its grip when light is let in, and having someone to walk with you makes a real difference.

Also, you asked for God's forgiveness and grace, that's exactly where freedom starts, not where it ends. Jesus already knows everything you've done and looked at, and He still went to the cross for you. His grace is not the reward for getting clean but the power that makes getting clean possible. When you fall, run toward Him quickly rather than hiding in shame. The quicker you turn back, the less foothold discouragement gets.

Father, we lift up this person You love. Thank You that Your forgiveness is already full and complete in Jesus. Break the cycle that feels so relentless. Give practical wisdom, strong boundaries, and a friend to walk alongside. Replace the pull toward what harms with a deeper hunger for You. Renew the mind, heal what's driving the pattern, and let Your grace be louder than any voice of condemnation. In Jesus' name.

Your heart cries out under the lash of conscience, and this very cry is no token of despair but a hopeful sign. The terrors of the secret chamber, the shame that burns within, these things may drive a man in upon himself or they may drive him to the mercy seat. Beware of a repentance that is born only of fear, for flesh repenting is still flesh and tends to corruption. True repentance gives God glory; it makes a rainbow with her tears of grief for sin and her glances of hope at the love of Christ and His great finished work.

There is forgiveness! However sinful your life may have been, there is forgiveness with God even for you. He blots out transgressions for His own sake, and He can bestow it now. As high as the heaven is above the earth, so great is His mercy above your sins. If you have been the chief of sinners, you may have the chief of sinner’s forgiveness. This is no fragile hope but a deed of divine grace, sealed by the blood of the everlasting covenant. The head learns by nature but the heart must learn by divine grace; I heard about repentance but I never knew repentance until I repented.

This deliverance for which you long is not earned by your struggle but bestowed by His hand. The grace that forgives is the same grace that sanctifies. He who filled the bitter cup fills also the sweet goblet. Lay hold of Christ with a faith that purges the soul from dead works and fills it with living works. What is your repentance? Have you a repentance that leads you to look out of self to Christ, and to Christ only? His grace shall to the end stronger and brighter shine. Faith comforts the tried child of God by assuring him of the forgiveness of his sin and his security from punishment; there is a vast difference between chastisement and punishment.

Go now to the cross. Tell the Lord you have nothing to pay, and hear Him say, “I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions.” The very marrow of the gospel lies in special, discriminating, distinguishing grace. With my whole soul I praise delivering grace, and I bid you consecrate yourself anew to the God of Israel. All along, from sin’s pit to Heaven’s gate, without a break the whole road is paved with divine grace.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The very desire you now feel to turn from these wicked habits and seek God’s forgiveness is itself a sign that His long-suffering is at work, granting you space for repentance. Do not let this divine delay become a snare by treating it as mere comfort while you continue in sin; rather, seize it with both hands to work a complete amendment of life. For even if a man has filled himself with countless pollutions, like Manasseh who stretched out his hands against the saints and filled the city with blood, yet after such great wickedness he washed away all his stains. How? By repentance and earnest consideration. So it is with you: neither the depths of lust nor the habit of self-defilement can resist the cleansing power of true repentance.

But note what this repentance requires. It is not a mere fear of punishment or a passing pang of regret, like the tears of Esau, who found no place of repentance because his sorrow was not according to God. Godly sorrow, however, works repentance unto salvation that brings no regret. This means you must mourn not simply because you dread wrath, but because you have offended a loving Father and defiled the temple of the Holy Spirit. When such sorrow grips the soul, it leads to a decisive turning away. You want to stop masturbating and watching pornography. Then let your repentance be a complete break, a hatred of the sin itself, not just a wish to escape its consequences. Flee from those images as from a burning fire; fill your eyes and mind with what is pure, and seek the medicine of the Church’s spiritual bath, which through many means of repentance wipes away stains of the soul.

Do not say, “I have fallen too often, I cannot be renewed.” Yes, there is no second baptism by water, but repentance has mighty force and can set you free even if you have come unto the very depth of wickedness. What is impossible for man is possible with God. He is “the righteous Judge, strong and patient,” not willing that any should perish but that all should reach repentance. If you bring a genuine purpose of heart, you may be established in safety. For as the Apostle says, the Spirit of adoption is given to those who turn, enabling them to cry “Abba, Father.” This deliverance from evil and supply of good none can accomplish but Christ, who became incarnate to redeem us from the curse and promote us to sonship.

Therefore, take courage and act at once. The grace of God is not a faint thing, but a transforming power. Mourn your sins, confess them fully, and then receive the comfort the Lord gives to those who mourn; for He makes them blessed. Your desire to be forgiven and to receive grace is already the firstfruits of that comfort. Only do not delay, lest by hardness and an impenitent heart you store up wrath. The physician is near, the medicine is ready: godly sorrow, confession, amendment, and trust in the mercy that blots out transgression. Go in peace, and sin no more.

Your honest confession reveals a heart that the Spirit is drawing toward genuine repentance, and that is a gift. When you feel that sharp pain of guilt over these things, remember that the law of God is doing its proper work: it exposes sin for what it is. Many people think that only the outward act is the problem, but the commandment that says “You shall not covet” shows that the strong, inward desire itself is sin. You have discovered, like so many of us, that the moment the law shines a light on lustful thoughts, you suddenly realize how deep that root goes. That painful discovery is not meant to crush you without hope. It is meant to drive you to the cross.

What you long for, forgiveness and deliverance, is exactly what God provides in Jesus Christ. The blood of bulls and goats could only cover sin for a time, but the blood of Jesus puts sin away entirely. On the cross, God made him who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in him. That means full pardon is available. When you confess your sins, he is faithful and just to forgive you and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness. His forgiveness is not like ours; he does not say, “I’ll forgive you but I won’t forget.” He removes your transgressions as far as the east is from the west and remembers them no more. David found this when he finally stopped covering his sin and said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” and immediately heard, “The Lord also has put away your sin; you shall not die.” Forgiveness is as close as confession.

Yet you also asked for deliverance, for the power to stop. That too is found at the cross. When Christ died, he not only bore the penalty of your sin to secure forgiveness; he also put the old self to death so that the body of sin might be rendered powerless. You need to see not only Jesus dying for you, but yourself crucified with him. Sin shall not have dominion over you, because you are not under law but under grace. This does not mean you will never stumble, but it means that sin is no longer your master. A dead man is freed from sin’s tyranny. When pornography and lustful thoughts come knocking, the person who reckons himself dead to sin can say, “That old slave is gone; I am alive to God in Christ.”

The pattern of pornography is a trap that quickly escalates. It opens a door to inordinate desires, and those desires push toward even deeper bondage. But the grace of God is greater. Where sin abounded, grace abounds much more, not so that you might keep sinning, but so that you might walk in newness of life. You have yielded your body to impurity in the past; now, by a deliberate choice, yield your body to God as an instrument of righteousness. Tell him openly everything you have done and every dark corner you have visited in your mind. Hide nothing, for there is no secret sin anyway; God sees all. As soon as you confess, he lifts the heavy burden of guilt and restores the consciousness of his presence. Sin separates you from that nearness, but forgiveness brings you right back into fellowship.

Do not presume on grace by thinking you can dabble a little and then ask for pardon. A little tolerated sin, like yeast, will work its way through the whole lump. But the same grace that forgives you also empowers you to walk away. Let every bondage go, and let deliverance flow from the cross. Stand on this promise: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Bring your sin to the light, receive his full forgiveness, and then walk with the confidence that you are no longer a slave but a son, empowered by his Spirit to say no to ungodliness. The same Savior who died to forgive you lives to keep you.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer these past days. It takes great courage and humility to bring such personal struggles before the Lord, and we are honored that you allowed us to join you in seeking His face. We have prayed earnestly that God would break the chains of bondage in your life, that His Holy Spirit would fill you with strength and self-control, and that you would experience the fullness of His forgiveness and grace.

If the Lord has already moved in your heart and brought freedom, we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report—your testimony could be a blessing to others walking a similar path. If, however, the battle still rages, please do not grow weary. Post your request again, and we will continue to lift you up, believing that God is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you. Remember, His mercy is new every morning, and His power is made perfect in our weakness.

May the Lord draw near to you as you seek Him with a sincere heart. May He fill you with His peace, renew your mind, and lead you into the abundant life He has promised. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
