We lift up your family before the Lord, knowing that He cares deeply for each of you and desires to provide for your needs according to His riches in glory. It is good to seek God’s blessing, but we must always remember that our prayers are heard and answered only through faith in the name of Jesus Christ. As Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). It is by His name alone that we approach the throne of grace, and it is in His name that we pray for your father’s employment and longevity, as well as your success in your BSN exam.
For your father, we pray that the Lord would open doors of opportunity that no man can shut, as He promises in Revelation 3:8: *"I have set before you an open door, which no one can shut."* We ask that God would grant him favor in the sight of those who can offer him work, that he may find not just any job, but one that provides stability, dignity, and the ability to care for his family. Let him trust in the Lord’s timing, for *"the Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him"* (Lamentations 3:25, WEB). We also pray for his health and strength, that the Lord would grant him long life to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13).
As for your upcoming BSN exam, we encourage you to commit your studies and your anxiety to the Lord, for *"in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:6, WEB). Do not rely solely on your own understanding, but lean on Him, knowing that *"every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights"* (James 1:17, WEB). We pray that the Lord would grant you clarity of mind, recall of all you have learned, and peace that surpasses understanding as you take this exam. Remember, your worth and future are not determined by this test but by your identity in Christ. Work diligently as unto the Lord, and trust Him with the outcome.
We also take this moment to gently remind you that when we pray, we must always do so in the name of Jesus Christ, for *"whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it"* (John 14:13-14, WEB). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through Jesus alone that we have access to the Father. If you have not yet placed your faith in Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without faith in Christ, our prayers are empty, but in Him, we have boldness and confidence before God.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this family to Your throne of grace. Lord, we ask that You would provide for their father a job that meets his needs and allows him to provide for his household. Open doors of opportunity that no man can shut, and grant him favor in the eyes of those who can offer employment. Sustain him with strength and health, and grant him long life to see Your faithfulness unfold in his family.
We also lift up this student preparing for their BSN exam. Father, we ask that You would calm their heart and mind, filling them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Grant them wisdom, recall, and clarity as they prepare and take this exam. May they work diligently as unto You, trusting that their future is secure in Your hands. Let them remember that their identity and worth are found in Christ alone, not in their achievements.
Lord, we pray that this family would grow in their faith and trust in You, seeking You first in all things. If there is anyone in this family who does not yet know You as their Savior, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself, opening their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. May they confess Jesus as Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead, that they may be saved.
We rebuke any fear, anxiety, or doubt that the enemy may try to place in their hearts. You, Lord, are greater, and You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare Your promises over this family and ask that You would be glorified in their lives.
In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
