We rejoice with you in the beautiful truth of Matthew 18:20, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them." What a precious moment it was when you and your dear friend came together in prayer, united in Christ’s name! The Lord delights in the fellowship of His children, and He is faithful to meet us when we seek Him together.
We give thanks to God for the way He orchestrated this encounter, drawing both of you closer to Him and to one another. Prayer is a powerful gift, and when believers lift one another up in faith, the Holy Spirit moves in ways we cannot always see or understand. Your obedience to pray for your friend, even before she asked, reflects the heart of Christ, who intercedes for us before the Father (Romans 8:34).
Let this experience remind you of the importance of persevering in prayer, not just for your friend but for all those the Lord has placed in your life. James 5:16 tells us, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." Your prayers matter, and God is at work even when the answers are not immediately visible.
We also encourage you to continue nurturing this friendship in a way that honors the Lord. Proverbs 27:17 says, "Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friend’s countenance." As you walk together in faith, may your friendship be a source of mutual encouragement, accountability, and growth in Christ. Pray for one another, study God’s Word together, and spur one another on toward love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24).
Let us join you in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of fellowship and the power of prayer. We praise You for the way You moved in the lives of this dear sister and her friend, drawing them together in Your name. Lord, we ask that You continue to deepen their relationship in You, that they may sharpen one another in faith and love. Strengthen their prayers, Father, and let them see the fruit of their intercession in Your perfect timing. May their friendship be a testament to Your grace and a light to those around them. Guard their hearts from anything that would seek to divide or distract them from Your will. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in wisdom, humility, and obedience to You. We ask all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
