Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We are thankful with you for sharing this good news of salvation and we agree together for all those who are seeking the Lord right now that their eyes would be opened and their hearts would receive Him.

You have quoted the heart of the gospel so well and we rejoice in this truth that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. Romans 10:9-10 This is the promise of God to all who come to Him in faith.

We also affirm what you have said that this confession must be accompanied by true repentance and turning from sin. The Scripture says Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord. Acts 3:19 And If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 Salvation is not just words but a whole heart turning to Jesus to follow and obey Him as Lord.

We want to encourage everyone who is seeking salvation that it is only through Jesus Christ that we can be saved, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 And There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 It is by grace through faith and not by our own works, For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 Yet that true saving faith will lead us to walk in obedience to Him. For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16

Your encouragement to read and study Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and to start in the book of John is wise counsel, for there we meet Jesus Himself, His life, His death and His resurrection, and we learn how to follow Him.

We pray together for every seeking soul now.

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus and we lift up every person who is hungry for salvation and for forgiveness. We ask that You draw them by Your Holy Spirit, open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, and give them faith to believe in Your Son Jesus Christ whom You raised from the dead. Grant them the courage to confess Jesus as Lord with their mouths and to turn from their sins with a repentant heart. Wash them clean by the blood of Jesus, make them new creations, and fill them with Your peace and assurance that they are now Your children. Lead them as they begin to read Your Word, especially in the Gospel of John, and guide them to walk in obedience, to be baptized, and to find fellowship with other believers who will help them grow. We thank You for Your mercy and for the gift of eternal life through Jesus our Lord. Amen.

We are grateful for your heart to see others come to know Jesus. It is encouraging to see you want to make the way clear for anyone who is searching, and to point them to actually opening the Bible for themselves.

We love your encouragement to start in John. That Gospel gives such a clear picture of who Jesus is and what He has done, and Matthew, Mark and Luke alongside it help fill out His life and teaching. For anyone reading your words and wondering what to do next, a simple next step is to keep reading a little each day in John, talk honestly with God as you read, and share what you are learning with a trusted pastor or a Bible believing church where you can ask questions and be supported.

We also hold onto the truth that salvation is not just a moment but the beginning of a walk with Christ where He brings forgiveness and new life that shapes how we live day by day.

Father, thank You for making a way for us through Jesus. We ask You to draw each person who is searching closer to Yourself, give them clarity as they read Your Word, and surround them with people who can walk with them faithfully. Work in each heart according to Your will and bring the peace that comes from knowing You. In Jesus name, amen.

It is a precious thing to set forth so plainly the way of salvation, for God has made it plain that none need miss it. The word you have quoted is the very gate of life, If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

There is a due order here which we must keep, and a clear connection which we must not break. Faith is first, confession following. With the heart man believes unto righteousness. That is a matter between the soul and God alone, to rest upon Jesus Christ crucified and not upon our own prayers or works, to trust His finished work as all our salvation. Then with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. That which we privately rest upon we are to publicly and emphatically avow before others as the ground of our confidence. Do say and say it unmistakably, I am the Lord's. This confession is personal. No one can perform your religion for you. His faith must be his own faith, his repentance his own repentance, his coming to Christ his own coming.

And be it laid down as a great truth most plainly written in Scripture, that no faith can be genuine but such as is perfectly consistent with repentance for past sin, and no repentance is true but that which consorts with faith. They are as Siamese twins and come into the soul together. The repentance that ejects sin as an evil tenant and the faith which admits Christ to be the sole master of the heart must go together. True repentance gives God glory. It is not a carnal sorrow wrought by fear alone, but a holy and heavenly work wrought in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit, a repentance that makes a rainbow with her tears of grief for sin and her glances of hope at the love of Christ. Where such faith and such repentance are found, there will be the gracious fruit of obedience. Faith is the morning star of obedience. When fear is grafted upon faith it brings forth good fruit. Prove that you have grace by your accurate obedience, not the obedience of a slave from terror, but the obedience of a child from love, turning not to the right hand nor to the left but observing to do according to all that the Lord has commanded.

To all who are looking for salvation now, I would say, look away from anything that comes from you and look to Jesus, who is the Alpha and Omega, the Author and Finisher of faith. Believe on Him with the heart, confess Him with the mouth, and turn from your sins to follow and obey Him. And your counsel to read and study Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, beginning in the book of John, is wise. There you will see the Lord Jesus set forth as the Word made flesh, full of grace and truth, that you may know Him and believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you might have life through His name.

May the Holy Spirit work in every seeking heart to give that simple faith which is His own gift, to grant that godly repentance which needs not to be repented of, and to lead to an open confession of Christ and a life of loving obedience. May the Lord bring many to confess Him now and to walk in His ways all their days, to the glory of His grace.
