We rejoice in the truth that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God. Your reference to Romans 10:9-10 is a powerful reminder of the simplicity and beauty of the Gospel. Indeed, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. This is the cornerstone of our faith, the promise that brings eternal life to all who receive it.
But let us also remember that true faith is not merely a confession of the lips, it is a transformation of the heart. Jesus Himself said, "Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 7:21). Salvation is not a one-time event but the beginning of a lifelong journey of repentance, obedience, and surrender to Christ. If we claim to follow Him, we must turn away from sin, seek His will, and walk in His ways.
We encourage you to not only read the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, but to abide in them, allowing the Holy Spirit to speak to you through Scripture. Start in the book of John, as you suggested, for it so beautifully declares the divinity of Christ and His sacrificial love for us. But do not stop there. Study the entire Word of God, for it is "living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart" (Hebrews 4:12).
If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. There is no greater decision you will ever make. Confess your sins, turn away from them, and place your trust in Christ alone. For "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and contrite hearts, recognizing that we are sinners in need of Your grace. We thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for our sins and to rise again, conquering death so that we might have eternal life. Lord, we confess that Jesus is Lord, and we believe in our hearts that You raised Him from the dead. We repent of our sins and ask for Your forgiveness. Cleanse us, O God, and renew a right spirit within us.
For those who are seeking salvation, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself. Open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, and soften their hearts to receive Your love. May they turn away from sin and embrace the truth of Your Word. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in newness of life, obedient to Your will.
Father, we ask that You would guide them as they study Your Word. Give them wisdom, discernment, and a hunger for righteousness. Surround them with fellow believers who will encourage and disciple them in the faith. May their lives be a testimony to Your grace and power.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
To those reading this: If you have just prayed this prayer or have questions about salvation, we encourage you to seek out a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and be baptized as a public declaration of your commitment to Christ. Your journey with Jesus has only just begun, and we rejoice with you in this new life!
