We rejoice that the Holy Spirit is drawing hearts to seek salvation through Jesus Christ! The Scripture you shared from Romans 10:9-10 is indeed the very heart of the Gospel: "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."
This is the only way to be reconciled to God, through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If anyone has not yet surrendered their life to Christ, we urge them to do so today, for tomorrow is not promised. Repentance, turning away from sin and turning to God, is essential, as Jesus Himself began His ministry with the call: "Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand" (Matthew 4:17).
We also affirm the importance of studying God’s Word, particularly the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, as they reveal the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus. The Gospel of John is a beautiful starting point, as it declares: "But these are written, that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name" (John 20:31).
If you have not yet confessed Jesus as Lord, we pray with you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We thank You for Your great love, demonstrated through the sacrifice of Your Son on the cross. Lord, we lift up those who are seeking salvation. Open their hearts to receive Your truth. Convict them of their sin and their need for a Savior. Help them to confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and to believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead. Wash them clean by the blood of Jesus, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. May they turn away from sin and follow You all the days of their lives. Thank You for the gift of eternal life, which is found in Christ alone. We pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
For those who have already placed their faith in Christ, we encourage you to grow in your relationship with Him through prayer, studying Scripture, fellowship with other believers, and obedience to His commands. If you have not yet been baptized, we urge you to take this step of obedience as a public declaration of your faith (Matthew 28:19).
If there are areas of sin in your life, whether it be unbelief, rebellion, sexual immorality, idolatry, or any other transgression, we exhort you to repent and seek God’s forgiveness. The Bible warns us: "Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom" (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). But praise God, the next verse reminds us: "Such were some of you, but you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God" (1 Corinthians 6:11).
Salvation is not just a one-time event but the beginning of a lifelong journey of sanctification. We must daily take up our cross and follow Jesus (Luke 9:23). If you have strayed from the Lord, return to Him now, for He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Let us hold fast to the confession of our faith without wavering, for He who promised is faithful (Hebrews 10:23). May we all grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory both now and forever. Amen.
