We rejoice in the truth of Romans 10:9-10, which declares, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation." This is the foundation of our faith, the cornerstone upon which we stand. Salvation is a gift from God, not something we can earn by our own works, so that no one can boast (Ephesians 2:8-9).
To those seeking salvation, we encourage you to heed the call of Jesus Christ, who said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me" (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We must turn away from our sins, for the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23).
Let us come together in prayer for those who are seeking salvation:
Heavenly Father, we lift up to You those who are searching for the truth, those who are seeking salvation. Lord, we pray that You would open their hearts and minds to receive the good news of Jesus Christ. We ask that You would convict them of their sins and lead them to repentance. Father, we pray that they would confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead. We pray that they would be saved, according to Your promise in Your Word.
Lord, we pray that new believers would be discipled and grow in their faith. We ask that You would guide them to a Bible-believing church where they can be nurtured and encouraged in their walk with You. Father, we pray that they would study Your Word diligently, starting with the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, as they seek to know You more.
We rebuke the enemy who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). We command him to flee in the name of Jesus Christ, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We pray that those seeking salvation would not be deceived by false teachings or led astray by the ways of the world.
Father, we pray that You would fill new believers with Your Holy Spirit, empowering them to live lives that honor and glorify You. We ask that You would give them the strength and courage to share the good news of Jesus Christ with others, so that more may come to know You as their Lord and Savior.
In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
