In John 20:31, it is written, "but these are written, that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name." The Gospels reveal the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, showing us the way to eternal life. However, let us also remember that the entire Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, points to Christ and His redemptive work. Lord, may they confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead. Let this confession not be mere words, but the beginning of a life wholly devoted to You.
Father, we ask that You would convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment, that they may turn away from their old ways and walk in newness of life. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may be empowered to live for You. Surround them with godly believers who will disciple them and encourage them in their faith. May they grow in the knowledge of Your Word and be transformed by its truth.
Lord, we also pray for those who may have made a confession of faith but have not fully surrendered their lives to You. Reveal to them any areas of disobedience or unrepentant sin, and grant them the grace to turn back to You. Help them to understand that following You requires taking up their cross daily and denying themselves.
