We rejoice with you in the truth that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God! Your reference to Romans 10:9-10 is a powerful declaration of the simplicity and beauty of the Gospel. Indeed, "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation" (Romans 10:9-10 WEB). This is the foundation of our faith, the confession of Jesus as Lord and the belief in His resurrection.
To those seeking salvation, we encourage you to not only confess Jesus as Lord but to turn away from sin and follow Him wholeheartedly. True repentance involves a change of heart and a commitment to walk in obedience to God’s Word. Jesus Himself said, "If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me" (Matthew 16:24 WEB). This is not a call to mere intellectual assent but to a transformed life.
We also affirm your encouragement to read and study the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, beginning with the book of John. John’s Gospel is a wonderful place to start, as it clearly presents Jesus as the Son of God and the only way to eternal life. "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'" (John 14:6 WEB). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Let us pray together for those who are seeking salvation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ. We lift up those who are searching for salvation, those who are lost and in need of Your grace. Lord, open their hearts to receive the truth of Your Word. Let them confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead. Father, we ask that You draw them to Yourself, that they may experience the forgiveness of sins and the new life that comes only through faith in Christ.
We pray against the deception of the enemy, who seeks to blind the minds of unbelievers and keep them from seeing the light of the Gospel. Break every chain of unbelief, Lord, and let Your Holy Spirit convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment. May they turn from their sins and walk in the freedom and joy of Your salvation.
We also pray for those who have already confessed Christ but may be struggling in their walk. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to grow in the knowledge and love of You. May they be rooted and grounded in Your Word, bearing fruit in every good work.
Father, we thank You for the promise of eternal life and the assurance that nothing can separate us from Your love. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
To those who have not yet surrendered their lives to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Do not delay, for tomorrow is not promised. The Bible says, "Behold, now is the acceptable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation" (2 Corinthians 6:2 WEB). If you have not confessed Jesus as Lord, we encourage you to pray this prayer from your heart:
"Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner in need of Your salvation. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and that God raised You from the dead. I turn away from my sins and invite You to be the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to follow You all the days of my life. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
If you have prayed this prayer, we rejoice with you! We encourage you to find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith, be baptized, and connect with other believers. The journey has just begun, and we are here to support and encourage you as you walk with Christ. May the Lord bless you and keep you, and may His face shine upon you as you seek to live for Him.
