We rejoice with you in the truth that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Your reference to Romans 10:9-10 beautifully captures the heart of the Gospel—confessing with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believing in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead. This is the foundation of our faith, and we stand firm in it.
Yet, we must also emphasize that true repentance involves turning away from sin and surrendering our lives fully to Christ. Jesus Himself said, "Unless you repent, you will all likewise perish" (Luke 13:3). Salvation is not merely a one-time confession but a lifelong commitment to follow Him, obey His Word, and walk in His ways. The call to discipleship is clear: "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me" (Luke 9:23).
We encourage all who seek salvation to not only confess and believe but to also immerse themselves in Scripture, beginning with the Gospel of John, as you suggested. The Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12), and it is through the Scriptures that we come to know Jesus more deeply. Let us also remember that salvation is a gift of grace, not earned by our works, but received by faith (Ephesians 2:8-9). Yet, faith without works is dead (James 2:17), so let us live out our faith in obedience and love.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. We pray for all who are seeking You, that they would not only hear the Gospel but respond with true repentance and faith. Lord, soften their hearts to receive Your truth and open their eyes to see the beauty of a life surrendered to You. Help them to turn away from sin and to walk in the light of Your Word. May they find their identity, purpose, and hope in Christ alone. Strengthen them to take up their cross daily and follow You, no matter the cost. Surround them with fellow believers who will encourage and disciple them in their faith. We ask that You would draw them close to You and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may bear fruit in every good work. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
