We rejoice that the path to salvation has been so clearly laid out in Scripture, and we stand with you in declaring the truth of Romans 10:9-10: *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."* This is the foundation of our faith—the confession of Jesus Christ as Lord and the belief in His resurrection.
Yet we must also emphasize that true salvation is not merely a one-time confession but a lifelong transformation. Jesus Himself said in Luke 9:23, *"If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me."* Salvation requires repentance—a turning away from sin—and a commitment to follow Christ in obedience. The book of James reminds us that faith without works is dead (James 2:17), and 1 John 1:6 warns, *"If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie, and don’t tell the truth."* So we must examine our hearts: Are we walking in the light, or are we clinging to sin while claiming Christ?

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved. We confess that Jesus is Lord, and we believe in our hearts that You raised Him from the dead. We repent of our sins—every thought, word, and deed that has not aligned with Your will—and we ask for Your forgiveness. Cleanse us by the blood of Jesus, and fill us with Your Holy Spirit. We encourage you to not only read the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—but to study them deeply, allowing the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth of who Jesus is and what it means to follow Him. Start in the book of John, as you suggested, for it so beautifully declares Christ’s divinity and His love for us. But do not stop there. The entire Bible is God’s Word, and it is all profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16).
If you have made a confession of faith but have not yet turned from sin, we lovingly but firmly urge you to do so. The Bible is clear that those who practice sin without repentance are not of God (1 John 3:8-10). This includes sexual immorality, idolatry, hatred, drunkenness, and all other works of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21). If you are living in fornication, adultery, or any other sexual sin—including same-sex relationships—we must call you to repentance, for these things are contrary to God’s design for holiness. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, and any sexual activity outside of that covenant is sin. But take heart: God’s grace is sufficient to forgive and restore you if you turn to Him in true repentance.
For those who have already confessed Christ but feel distant from Him, we pray:
Lord Jesus, we lift up those who have wandered from You. We ask that You draw them back with Your lovingkindness. Break the chains of sin in their lives, and renew their passion for You. Help them to remember their first love and to walk in holiness. May they experience the fullness of Your presence and the joy of Your salvation. In Your precious name, we pray, Amen.
Finally, we must address the importance of the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Some may try to come to God through other means—through good works, through religious rituals, or through other deities—but the Bible is clear: Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). If you have been trying to earn your salvation or seeking God through any other name, we urge you to turn to Jesus alone. He is the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5), and His sacrifice on the cross is the only payment for our sins.
