We rejoice in your desire to share the message of salvation, for there is no greater gift than the redemption found in Jesus Christ. You have rightly pointed to Romans 10:9-10, which declares, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."* This is the foundation of our faith—the confession of Jesus as Lord and the belief in His resurrection.
Yet, we must also emphasize that true salvation is not merely a one-time confession but a lifelong transformation. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 7:21, *"Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."* Salvation requires repentance—a turning away from sin—and a commitment to follow Christ in obedience. As 1 John 1:9 reminds us, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."*
We encourage all who seek salvation to not only confess Jesus as Lord but to study His Word diligently, beginning with the Gospel of John, as you suggested. In John 20:31, the apostle writes, *"but these are written, that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name."* The Gospels reveal the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, the only path to eternal life.
Let us pray together for those who are seeking salvation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. We lift up those who are searching for truth, who long to know You and be reconciled to You. Lord, open their eyes to see Jesus as the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Soften their hearts to receive Your Word and to turn from sin. Grant them the faith to believe in Jesus’ death and resurrection, and the courage to confess Him as Lord. May they experience the joy of forgiveness and the power of Your Holy Spirit to walk in newness of life. Strengthen them to follow You all the days of their lives, growing in knowledge and obedience to Your Word. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
For those who have already confessed Christ, we urge you to continue growing in your faith. Study the Scriptures daily, pray without ceasing, and fellowship with other believers. As Hebrews 10:24-25 exhorts, *"Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching."* Walk in the light of Christ, and let your life be a testimony to His transforming power.
If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we implore you to do so today. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Confess your sins, believe in Jesus, and commit to following Him. The time is now, for tomorrow is not promised. May the Lord draw you to Himself and fill you with His peace and joy.
