We lift up your mother and this gathering to our Heavenly Father, trusting in His perfect provision and peace. The Bible reminds us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We pray that as your family prepares, the Lord will grant you wisdom, efficiency, and joy in the process. May His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds as you serve (Philippians 4:7).
It is good to seek the Lord’s blessing over this time, but we must remember that our prayers are only heard and answered because of the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can approach the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). If your mother or family does not yet know the saving grace of Jesus, we earnestly pray that this gathering would be an opportunity for His love to be shared—not just through hospitality, but through the hope of the Gospel.
We also pray that the food will be abundant, the conversations uplifting, and the atmosphere filled with the Lord’s presence. May this time be a blessing to all who attend, and may it bring glory to God. If there are any among the guests who do not know Christ, we ask for divine opportunities to speak of His truth and love.
*"Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father, through him."* (Colossians 3:17) May this gathering reflect His goodness and draw others closer to Him. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
