We lift up your dear friends before the throne of grace, rejoicing that you have brought their names before the Lord. There is no greater gift than salvation through Jesus Christ, and we join you in fervent prayer that their hearts would be softened to receive the truth of the Gospel. The Bible tells us, *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:9). How beautiful it is that God’s heart is for their salvation, and we stand in agreement with His will for them.
We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), drawing them to the cross where Jesus bore their punishment. May they come to know the depth of His love, as it is written, *"But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us"* (Romans 5:8). Let them not harden their hearts but turn to Him in repentance, for *"if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9).
We also pray for their healing—spirit, soul, and body. The Lord is our Healer (Exodus 15:26), and we ask that He would mend any brokenness, bring peace to their minds, and fill them with His love. May they experience the truth of Isaiah 53:5: *"But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed."*
Father, we rebuke every lie of the enemy that would keep them from knowing You. We break every chain of deception, pride, or worldly distraction that blinds them to the truth. We declare that Your Word will not return void (Isaiah 55:11) and that these friends will come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Strengthen them, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). May they be rooted and grounded in love (Ephesians 3:17) and walk in the fullness of life that only You can give.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). May Your will be done in their lives, and may they soon join the family of believers, worshiping You in spirit and truth. Amen.
