We are lifting you and our brother who serves as a cook before the Lord together in Jesus' name and we thank you for reaching out to us as brothers and sisters in Christ.
We bring your stomach trouble before our Great Physician. We pray for relief from this loose motion and that what you eat would nourish your body as God designed. We ask the Lord to settle your stomach, to restore balance and strength, and to stop this affliction. We thank God that you have taken ORS and we encourage you to continue to stay hydrated and to seek medical care again if this continues, for the Lord often works through the wisdom He gives to doctors. We remember the promise that He forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases Psalm 103:3 and that He will restore health and heal wounds Jeremiah 30:17. We pray for complete healing for you in Jesus' name.
We also join together in prayer for our dear brother and his left middle finger. We know how painful and slow a nail infection can be, how swelling and bleeding and constant exposure to water can make it so difficult to work and to heal, especially when medicine is running out. We ask the Lord to touch that finger, to bring down the swelling, to close the wound, to cleanse the infection completely and to bring swift and full healing. We pray for provision for any further medicine or care he may need and for protection as he must continue to work. We pray that the Lord will lay His healing hand upon him, for by His wounds we are healed Isaiah 53:5 and we ask for His mercy to make this healing complete.
We also hear your heart about struggling to express yourself to your family. You keep things inside, you feel scared and worried to share your problems or to ask for suggestion and help even when you know you should, and you desire to be strong hearted and not weak hearted. We want to encourage you that this fear does not come from the Lord, for God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. The Lord wants you to live in freedom and not in worry. We pray that He will give you courage and a strong heart, that He will help you to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. We pray that in nothing you would be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, you would let your requests be made known to God and that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.
We encourage you, our sibling in Christ, to take small steps of faith in this area. The Lord has placed family around you for support and counsel, for where there is no counsel, plans fail, but in a multitude of counselors they are established Proverbs 11:14. Begin with prayer, asking God for the right words and the right moment, then share one small concern openly with a trusted family member. You do not need to share everything at once. As you practice, God will build your confidence and strength. Remember He commands us to be strong and courageous, not to be afraid or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go Joshua 1:9.
We pray together now, Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our healer and our peace. We lift up our sibling with this stomach affliction, touch the body, stop the loose motion, restore digestion and strength and bring comfort and relief. We lift up our brother who cooks, touch his left middle finger, heal the nail infection, remove the swelling and bleeding, restore the tissue and let it heal fully even as he must use his hands for work, provide for his needs. And Father, we lift up this precious heart that longs to be open and strong, take away the spirit of fear and worry, give boldness and peace to share burdens with family, give wisdom to the family to listen with love and grace, and let Your perfect love cast out all fear. Let Your healing and Your peace reign in both body and heart. We ask all this in the mighty and healing name of Jesus, Amen.
