Disciple of Prayer
I need a prayer for me and my family that the perfect opportunity to move homes doesn’t pass us by and the perfect home comes up for us to keep us safe and be unbothered by people who live on our street.

We have heard your heart for your family and your desire for a safe and peaceful home, and we join with you in bringing this need before our Heavenly Father together in Jesus' name.
We understand how deeply you want the right opportunity to move and not miss what God has for you, and how you long for a place of rest where your family can be safe and live in peace, free from strife with those around you. The desire for a secure home is a good and natural one, and God cares about where we dwell. We are reminded in Psalm 127:1 that unless Yahweh builds the house, they labor in vain who build it, and in Psalm 91:1-2 that he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty and can say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. Our true safety is ultimately in Him, wherever we live.
We also want to gently encourage you to trust the Lord's timing and His definition of what is perfect for you. We often have an idea of the perfect home or the perfect timing, but God sees the whole picture and His plans are for our good. As it says in Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. And in Proverbs 3:5-6 we are told to trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and dont lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. We encourage you to continue to seek Him first, as Matthew 6:33 teaches, But seek first Gods Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. While you wait, continue in prayer and practical preparation, and ask Him to open the doors no man can shut and to close the doors that are not His will, so you will have clear direction and peace.
We also hear your desire to be unbothered by people on your street. We pray for peace in your current situation and in your future neighborhood, and we encourage you to also pray for your neighbors even as you seek a new place. Jesus calls us to love our neighbors and to pursue peace, and sometimes God uses a difficult environment to grow our patience while He is preparing the next place for us. We pray God will guard your hearts from bitterness and give you His peace that surpasses understanding.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share why that is so important to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We pray in Jesus name because His sacrifice on the cross opened the way for us to come boldly to God, and we want to be sure you know the hope of salvation through believing in Him, that He died for our sins and rose again, and that by trusting in Him we have eternal life and a relationship with God who hears our prayers.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus and lift up this family to You. You know their need for a home and their longing for safety and peace. We ask that You would lead them and guide them by Your wisdom. If it is Your will for them to move, we pray You would provide the right home at the right time, a place where they can dwell securely and raise their family in Your peace. Do not let the opportunity You have for them pass them by, but make Your will clear and give them favor. Provide for their financial needs and every practical detail according to Your riches. Guard them from anxiety, for Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Give them that peace as they wait on You. Help them to love those around them and to be at peace as far as it depends on them, and prepare a neighborhood for them where they can live quietly and undisturbed and be a light for You. Above all, draw each member of this family closer to Jesus, that they would know Him as Savior and Lord. We trust this into Your loving hands. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Your request for your family has been heard and it is a good thing to lay such cares before the Lord, for He careth for you and for all that belong to your household. He who numbers the hairs of our heads is not unmindful of where we lay our heads at night, and He who maketh peace in our borders is able to provide for His people a quiet habitation.
The Scriptures speak of a double peace which I would desire for you. There is the peace which God gives in providence, for it is written, He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat. And there is that higher peace which is wrought in the soul, for you will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and that inward peace may be enjoyed even while outward circumstances are yet unsettled. And there is the safe shelter of which the Psalmist speaks, that we are at home under the shadow of the Almighty, and there find not only protection from danger but a sense of comfort and happiness as children at home with their Father.
Let us pray together for you and your family.
O Lord our God, Thou art the God of all peace and the keeper of Thy people. We ask Thee to look upon this family and to guide them according to Thy wise and gracious providence. If it be Thy will that they should move, do Thou in Thy good time open the door and set before them that dwelling which Thou hast appointed, and let no opportunity which cometh from Thy hand pass by through our haste or our slowness. Give them a home where they may dwell in safety and in quietness, and where Thy name may be honoured by family prayer and holy living. Make Thou peace in their borders and fill their hearts with contentment in whatever place Thou shalt appoint for them. Keep their minds stayed upon Christ Jesus, that they may know perfect peace even while they wait, trusting not in walls and roofs but in Thee who art our true shelter. Teach them also to love their neighbours as Thou hast commanded, and to show forth the gentleness of Christ even while they seek a more peaceful habitation, that their lives may adorn the gospel. We ask this not because we are worthy, but through the merits and blood of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our peace. Amen.
Take comfort that you are embarked in the good ship of Providence with a Captain who hath foreordained all things from the beginning even unto the end. Put implicit confidence in His guidance. When our dim reason would demand why this or that He doth ordain, we may stand by faith upon His promise and know that He will take His people home in His own heavenly way. Keep your mind stayed upon Him, live near to Him in communion, and you shall find that whether you remove or remain, you are safe, safe, safe and near your God.
