We join with you in prayer on this anniversary day and we thank God with you for the years He has given you together, and we bring before Him your desire to see what has been lost restored between you.

We pray that your marriage is strengthened and honored as God intends, for marriage is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman for life. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate. Mark 10:9 Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the bed undefiled. Hebrews 13:4 If you are not yet married but are in courtship, we encourage you to pursue that covenant of marriage together in purity before the Lord, fleeing fornication, for you should flee sexual immorality. 1 Cor 6:18 The Lord desires that relationships move toward a godly marriage that honors Him, not simply remaining as partners. We also pray that love, forgiveness and unity are restored where there has been distance or hurt, for love covers a multitude of sins. 1 Pet 4:8 and we are called to be bearing with one another in love, being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Eph 4:2-3 God is able to restore what has been broken and lost, for He promises I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten. Joel 2:25

We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 It is by putting our faith in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection for our sins, that we can come boldly to God in prayer.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this couple on their anniversary. We thank You for bringing them together and for sustaining them until this day. Where there has been loss, whether of closeness, trust, joy or communication, we ask You to heal and restore. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven us, to speak with kindness and humility, to love each other sacrificially as Christ loved the church. Eph 5:25 Reignite their first love for one another and for You, and draw them closer to each other as they draw closer to You. Guard their covenant and let no bitterness or division remain, but fill their home with Your peace and grace. Lead them in Your will and help them to build their marriage on the rock of Your Word. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to celebrate this day with gratitude and to recommit yourselves to the Lord and to one another. Spend time in prayer together, in the Word, and in honest, loving conversation. Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. Ecc 4:9 Trust that God who joined you together is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you as you seek Him together.

Thank you for letting us pray with you on your anniversary. We can hear how much this day matters to you and how deeply you want what has been lost to be restored between you.

Anniversaries can bring both gratitude and ache, remembering vows and hoping for a new chapter. Wanting to come back together is a good and tender desire, and we want to stand with you in it.

Restoration is usually slow, honest work for both people, rebuilding love and trust step by step and learning to make the marriage feel safe again for each of you. It helps to have wise, steady support around you as you walk that out, not just trying to carry it alone.

If it is possible today, you might mark the anniversary in a simple, personal way. Write a short note to your spouse sharing what you still cherish and what you hope God will rebuild, and invite a calm conversation when you are both ready. If you have a pastor or counselor you trust, reaching out together for ongoing guidance can give you a clear plan and accountability going forward.

Father, we lift this couple to You on their anniversary. You know what has been lost and what they long to see restored. Draw them close to You and close to each other, give them humility, honesty and patience, and guide their next steps in wisdom. Protect their marriage and lead them toward healing in Your will. Your request has been brought before the Lord with care, and we join you in seeking His mercy on this anniversary.

We are reminded that true restoration begins not with one another but with Him. As it has been preached, He restores my soul, and there is nothing in us which could be pointed out as a claim for it, yet the Lord Jesus has willed to save and stands to His purpose. Like Peter after his fall, what is needed is not merely a mending of earthly bonds but that look from the Lord which severed Peter from the crowd and brought him to repentance, and that prevalent intercession of Christ who prayed for him that his faith should not fail. We pray that you would know that same restoring grace, that whatever has been lost between you and God would be reconciled through the blood of the Lamb.

For God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them, and He has committed unto us the word of reconciliation. He is the God of peace and has prepared everything necessary for a perfect reconciliation on His part. We do not preach a way for you to find, but declare what God has already written, that reconciliation with Him comes only through faith in Jesus Christ alone, by whom alone we have peace with God and the joy which that peace brings. We pray that both of you may be found in Him, turned again to your first hope, and strengthened to walk in His ways.

Concerning the union you mention, we hold before you what Scripture teaches of marriage, that it is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, not a bond of mere convenience but of choice on both sides, cemented by mutual love, wherein the two become one flesh. It is a solemn reflection of Christ and His Church, the marriage of the Lamb who proved His love by His wounds and blood. We pray that the Lord would set His design clearly before you, and that whatever has been lost would be answered according to His holy will. If there has been wandering, neglect, or sin, we pray He would grant repentance and healing. If there is to be a true and lasting togetherness, we pray it would be upon His foundation, in purity and in faith, with affectionate communion with Christ at the center.

So we pray for you now, that the Holy Spirit would work reconciliation at once, that He would restore your souls, lead you into all truth, and make your paths straight before Him. May He grant you to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, to confess Christ as Lord, and to trust Him to do what is best for you both in accordance with His Word. May whatever is broken be healed only as He heals, and whatever is restored be that which brings honor to His name and lasting good to your souls.

We commit you to Him who is able to keep you and to restore you according to His grace.

Thank you for sharing this anniversary request and for allowing us to pray with you. We understand today carries deep meaning for you as you remember what has been lost and long for restoration.

We join you in bringing this before the Lord, asking above all that His will be done in both of your lives and that He draw each of you closer to Himself through Jesus Christ, for it is through Christ alone that we have peace with God and hope of true restoration.

Scripture teaches us to follow peace with all men and holiness, and that marriage is honorable and pure, a bond ordained by God as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman. Within that design, husband and wife are called to live in chaste and orderly love, preserving the holiness that comes through faith and not permitting what would defile it. When that order is kept with moderation and grace, marriage can be a place of great good, but like every good gift it requires a purpose that seeks God first.

So our prayer for you today is not simply for feelings to return, but for God to work holiness, healing and truth in both hearts. We pray that where there has been distance, hurt or sin, God would grant repentance, forgiveness and wisdom, and that He would restore what can be restored according to His good and holy design. Where reconciliation is according to His will, we ask Him to build it on faith, faithfulness and purity. Where there has been confusion or wandering, we ask Him to lead you both into the life that pleases Him.

May the Lord grant you both grace to seek Him earnestly, to walk in His ways, and to trust His love to provide what is best. We pray He will give you peace, clarity and strength for each step ahead, and that whatever He restores would honor Him and be for your lasting good.

We will continue to pray that you both know the grace and love of our Lord Jesus Christ, and that He guides your path toward wholeness in Him.

Thank you for sharing your heart on this anniversary and for asking for prayer that what has been lost between you would be brought together again. The longing for restoration and unity is deep and understandable, and it is good to bring that desire to the Lord.

Scripture shows that marriage is God's design from the beginning, where a man and a woman leave their former lives and become one flesh. It is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that oneness is a compound unity. It reflects something of who God Himself is, one Lord who exists as a unity. Sex and living together belong within that covenant alone, which is where God intends that oneness to be protected and nurtured. Jesus also taught that marriage is for this present life. When He affirmed the resurrection of the dead, He said that in the resurrection people neither marry nor are given in marriage but are like the angels in heaven. That reminds us that marriage is a precious gift for now, but our greatest hope is eternal life with God Himself.

Lasting restoration between people begins with restoration to God. When those who were far from God came to Jesus, the evidence that their hearts had truly turned to Him was repentance, a real change of mind and direction that led to a changed life and to being restored to fellowship with Him. They sat with Jesus and followed Him, and from that relationship with Him came new relationships with others.

So my prayer for you both is first for salvation and nearness to Jesus Christ, because it is through Him alone that we are forgiven and made new. I pray that each of you will turn to Him in repentance and faith where needed, and walk closely with Him. If your anniversary marks a biblical marriage covenant of one man and one woman, I pray God will have mercy, heal what has been broken, soften hearts, grant forgiveness where it is needed, and rebuild unity according to His will. If your relationship is outside of that design, I pray instead that God will give you clarity and courage to align your lives with His good plan, to live in purity, and to seek His will above all else, trusting that what He restores in His way is better than what we might try to hold together on our own.

May the Lord draw you both to Himself, teach you to love Him first, and then guide every step you take toward one another in holiness, truth and grace.
