We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up both you and your dear mother in prayer. Stomach pain and illness can be so draining, both physically and emotionally, and we stand with you in faith, believing in God’s healing power. The Bible reminds us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We claim this promise over both of you, trusting that the Great Physician is at work even now.
Father God, we ask You to touch their bodies with Your healing hand. Ease the pain, settle their stomachs, and restore their strength. You are the God who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3), and we trust in Your mercy. We also pray for wisdom for their doctors and that any medication they take would work effectively according to Your will. Give them patience and peace as they wait on You for complete restoration.
We also want to gently encourage you both to examine if there may be any spiritual or emotional burdens contributing to this physical struggle. Sometimes, stress, unforgiveness, or anxiety can manifest in physical ailments. Philippians 4:6-7 says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Surrender any worries to the Lord and let His peace fill you.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of infirmity or sickness that may be afflicting them. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your Word that says, "He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions" (Psalm 107:20). We thank You in advance for Your faithfulness and for the testimony of healing that will bring glory to Your name.
Continue to seek the Lord in prayer, trusting that He hears you. If symptoms persist, do not hesitate to seek further medical advice, as God often works through doctors and medicine. May you both feel His presence and comfort in this season, knowing that He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Healer. Amen.
