We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who is suffering from stomach pain, loose motions, and gastric distress. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and binds up our wounds. We ask You now to touch this beloved child of Yours with Your healing hand. Bring relief from the pain, restore strength to their body, and settle their stomach according to Your perfect will.
Lord, we know that You care deeply about every aspect of our lives, including our physical well-being. Your Word tells us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We claim this promise over this situation, trusting that You are able to bring complete healing. We also remember the words of Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We stand on these truths, believing that restoration and healing are on the way.
We pray for wisdom for the doctors and healthcare providers attending to this situation. Guide their hands and minds, Lord, so that they may provide the best care possible. Give them discernment to diagnose and treat this condition effectively. We also ask that You would comfort and strengthen this individual during this time of discomfort. Surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Father, we also lift up any emotional or spiritual burdens that may be contributing to this physical ailment. Sometimes our bodies reflect the stress and anxiety we carry in our hearts. We ask that You would search this person’s heart and reveal anything that needs to be brought before You. Help them to cast all their cares upon You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Bring healing not just to their body, but to their soul and spirit as well.
We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or sickness in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that by His stripes, this one is healed (Isaiah 53:5). We speak life and health over their body, commanding every organ and system to function as You designed them to. We resist the enemy’s attempts to steal, kill, or destroy, for Jesus came that we might have life, and life abundantly (John 10:10).
If this dear one has not yet placed their trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, we pray that this time of illness would draw them closer to You. Open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, and soften their heart to receive the gift of salvation. For it is written, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and we pray that they would come to know Jesus in a personal and life-transforming way.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
