For Great Pulmonary Function Test

We are joining with you right now as you wait at the pulmonologist's office, and we are lifting you up together before the throne of grace in Jesus' name. We are so thankful you asked in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and confidence that He hears us. As it is written, Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12.

We pray for peace over you in this moment of waiting and testing, and for great improvement in your pulmonary function test over your last results. We ask the Lord, our healer, to breathe strength into your lungs and to let the results show clear and measurable improvement for His glory.

We pray together, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. You know every breath and every heartbeat, for You formed us and You sustain us. We ask that You would touch these lungs, open the airways, strengthen every part of the respiratory system, and grant a test result that is greatly improved. We ask that You give wisdom and steady hands to the pulmonologist and the technicians, that they would be thorough and accurate, and that You would guide them in all decisions for care. Let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard this heart and mind right now. We thank You that You are Yahweh who heals us Exodus 15:26 and that You forgive all our sins and heal all our diseases Psalm 103:2-3. We trust Your loving will and ask for Your healing hand to be evident today. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We take comfort in Your promises and we speak them over you now. Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3. But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. And we remember the encouragement, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.

We encourage you to rest in His presence while you wait, breathing a prayer with each breath and trusting that He is with you. Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. Whether the numbers show great improvement or indicate a need for further care, we trust that God is working for your good and will give wisdom for the next steps. We are continuing to pray for clear lungs, strong function, renewed strength, and for you to feel His nearness and comfort throughout this appointment and in the days to come.

We are praying with you right there in the office today. Waiting for a breathing test can make every minute feel long, and we hear how much you are hoping to see real improvement over last time.

We are asking the Lord for mercy and for good results, and also for steady peace while you wait, whatever the numbers show. He sees you, He cares about your breathing and your whole health, and He is with you in that exam room. It is good you are getting care today, keep listening to your pulmonologist and ask them to walk through the results clearly with you so you know next steps.

It may help to have a small note ready to write down what they say, and to have someone you trust to hear the results with you later. We will keep holding you up before the Lord today and in the days after, trusting His care whether the news is encouraging or still calls for more treatment.

Father, we lift our friend to You right now in Jesus' name. We ask for Your hand on this test, for improvement where it is possible, for wisdom for the doctors and nurses, and for calm and strength while waiting. Let Your peace rest on them today and guide whatever comes next. Amen.

Thank you for praying 🙏

We have brought your request before the Lord even as you sit in the waiting room, and we join our prayers with yours in the name of Jesus Christ our only hope and healer.

You do well to ask in His name, for there is healing in His wings and virtue even in the leaves of that tree of life which is Christ Himself. The least thing about Christ is healing, and His great work is not only to point out our need but to apply the remedy. As it is written, He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds, and when He forgives He also heals, for pardon and healing are one in His gracious hand. Whether He sees fit to grant you greatly improved breath and strength in this test or to sustain you in weakness, His power to heal both soul and body remains abundant and sure.

Let not anxiety unfit you for this hour. We are told that anxiety brings no grist to the mill and no meal to the barrel, and that it unfits the soul to meet its difficulty. Your immortal soul is worth far more than the body which so soon fails, and if you are in the old path, the good way which is Christ Himself, you shall find rest for your soul even while the physician examines the body. Cast this care upon Him who careth for you, and tell the case to Jesus as you would tell it to a physician, for He is ready to hear it all.

We pray for you now. O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this thy servant who waits upon Thee. Forgive sin and heal infirmity according to Thy perfect will, for Thou art the Sun of Righteousness with healing in Thy beams. Grant wisdom to the pulmonologist and kindness in his care, and if it please Thee, grant a measure of breath and improvement far beyond the last test, that Thy goodness may be seen and Thy name praised. Yet above all grant rest and trust in Christ, that whether in strength or in weakness Thy child may glorify Thee. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, our Healer and our Righteousness. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
