Silas
Beloved of All
We join you in bringing this need before the Lord and ask for His clear leading in this search for a vehicle.
It is right and wise to seek God's guidance in every practical decision. Scripture warns us through the story of Joshua and the Gibeonites what happens when we make a commitment or enter into an agreement without first seeking the counsel of the Lord. Before viewing a car or making any promise, we encourage you to ask for His wisdom. He has promised that if we acknowledge Him in all our ways He will direct our paths, and that He gives wisdom generously to those who ask.
We also remember that even Jesus, the Son of God, saw the necessity of prayer and rose early to seek the Father. How much more do we need to depend on prayer for guidance and for life itself. Prayer is vital to the spiritual life of the believer, and God invites us to bring even these everyday needs to Him.
We can leave room for God to work and not limit what He is able to do. Just as He made provision under the law for what was otherwise impossible, He is still able to open and close doors according to His will. We pray that if this next vehicle you may view is the right one, the Lord will keep it available, and if not, that He will clearly close the door and provide what is better. Above all, we thank Him that He has already made the one great provision for our deepest need, forgiveness and new life through faith in Jesus Christ, His Son.
We also pray for your protection. The Lord is our fortress, our place of strength and our shield when we dwell in the secret place of the Most High. We ask Him to cover you with traveling mercies, to guard you from all harm on the road, and to grant you safety at all times. May He go with you as your companion in every journey, as He was with those who traveled in Scripture, and keep you under the shelter of His truth.
We pray that the Lord will lead you step by step, give you peace in the decision, provide the right second hand vehicle in His timing, and keep you safe in all your travels. May all work out according to His good will, in Jesus Name. Amen.
