Thank you for sharing your heart so openly. Your desire to be free from this burden of debt, to be faithful in giving to the Lord, and to see your marriage strengthened and your children raised to know Jesus is pleasing to God, and it is a privilege to pray with you.
Scripture shows us that Jesus has power to cleanse and restore, and when He touched the leper that man was made whole. So many healings were taking place that crowds pressed in from every side. Jesus told that man to be quiet for a time because He had purpose in His movements, yet the man could not keep it to himself and went out telling everyone what had happened. It is simply hard to stay quiet when God has truly worked in your life. In the same way, God is able to provide for your financial need. We will ask Him for a gracious provision and for a miracle of His mercy, and also for wisdom and discipline as you steward what He provides, so that this debt can be lifted and you can walk in greater freedom. Your vow to give faithfully is a good desire before the Lord, and we pray He will strengthen you to keep it with a cheerful and consistent heart, trusting Him as your provider and not out of pressure but out of love and thankfulness.
Your prayer for your wife and for many more years together is beautiful. Jesus taught that marriage in this life is a profound oneness, where two become one. It reflects the very nature of God Himself, one Lord who is a compound unity. God joins a husband and wife together in that oneness. Jesus also taught that in the resurrection, when we rise from the dead, we will be like the angels in heaven and marriage as we know it now will be no more. That reminds us how precious and purposeful marriage is for this present life, a covenant to cherish and guard while God gives us days on this earth. To raise your children in the Lord within that covenant is one of the highest callings you have.
So we pray for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this family before You. Please in Your mercy make a way to bring relief from this twenty five thousand dollars of debt. Grant wisdom for every financial decision, provide work and resources, and help every step to be ordered by You. Give strength to keep the vow to tithe and to give generously with faith and integrity. Bless this marriage, knit husband and wife ever more closely as one, guard their covenant in love and faithfulness, and let them walk together many more years. Give them grace and unity as they raise their children to know and follow Jesus. When You work, Lord, let their testimony be shared so others may see Your goodness and turn to You. Amen.
